Food was very good authentic Italian which we enjoyed potions good and the food is freshly cooked. We had the pasta which was excellent followed by ice cream.

The restaurant is located at the main road between Bergisch Gladbach and Bensberg. Parking is possible in front of the restaurant but not there are not plenty of them. The place started, at least it looks like, as take away and delivery service for Italian food. They added a little room lately which is nicely decorated. When the weather is good then they add a few beer benches outside. The menu is not very big, they are well known for their excellent pizzas. The pizzas are huge. We had a salad upfront which was big too. That was an error. The service is nice.

Sehr gute italienisches Restaurant. Die Speisen sind frisch und lecker. Das Ambiente könnte besser sein. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und besonders kinderlieb. Die angebotenen Weine sind sehr einfach und nicht besonders gut (zumindest am besuchten Abend). Das Restaurant bietet auch einen Bringservice. Sehr schnell und sehr viel.

I love this place. A friend of mine from America visited and I took her to Rialto for their perfect currywurst & pommes. They gave us brotchen for free alongside so she got to try that for the first time as well.This place is big and airy has fair prices. They have friendly staff (one guy even SMILES) and they deliver the best pizza in town. (Don't go to that other place that starts with an L, I'm warning you.) They give you a bag of 6 free pizza brotchen and kraueterbutter with the delivery. Free food, in Germany?My favorite food at Rialto is what we call their "disaster burger" - a big old hamburger with so much stuff on it you can't eat it without making a huge mess. You could call it "The 6 napkin burger" - you can't have enough napkins. They also have a salad with chicken in it that's awesome. I've only been there at lunch so I can't say how crowded it is in the evening, but whenever I'm there, it seems to coincide with an employee's lunch break, and *the employees eat the food too*! So you know it's not crap.They also customize anything the way you like. They want you to be happy. I hope they stick around.

It has been a very long while since we last visited La Fornace and I was really looking forward to re-discovering this Italian restaurant. Our party of 7 spanning three generations booked a table outside in the shade on a balmy Friday evening recently. The first thing I noticed was that all the personnel had changed. Service was OK and we were regularly topped up with drinks (Kölsch) as at least four of us were quite thirsty that night. To get things going in the right spirit I order an Aperol Royal Prosecco which I have been drinking a lot of recently. Here it came in a tiny glass - for over 4,00 Euro. I was disappointed. As a starter I liked the sound of baby calarmares with salad. I was dismayed, however to discover that it was a huge plate - certainly enough for a main course & in fact one of our party did, indeed order it as his main course. I followed this with a pizza diavolo which was also huge - I simply couldn't finish it. I suppose having too much is better than not having enough but I just felt overwhelmed...The others in our party were satisfied enough. They had a range of dishes all of which were well cooked. Somehow I left with mixed feelings. The place had somehow changed for an atmospheric point of view. One of the waitresses who could hardly speak German let alone English which somehow seemed to sum it up for me - there was the missing homely, friendly feel about the whole place which I remember from the past. Sorry, but for me I classify it now as "average" even though my 13 year old son thought it was "excellent" because he liked his pizza margarita :-)

We booked a table here for a romantic night out. Unfortunately we could only give two stars out of five. Our entree took over 45 minutes to arrive, the waitress was clearly overwhelmed with not even four tables occupied. She had forgotten to put in our order and remembered only as we were about to get up and leave. Our glasses also remained empty after finishing our water. She did not come back to ask if we wanted more or needed anything else. When the Bruschetta finally arrived it was on dry, floury and slightly burned bread with mushy tomatoes.The chef hat sprinkled some dried herbs on top for decoration. A disappointment. We except more from a Italian restaurant, especially for this price. The pizzas we had ordered were lovely but had way too much cheese on it. Again a shame. Against my advise my partner wanted to order a piece of beef filet with herb butter and Brokkoli for main. I was horrified.And now try to understand our complete and utter disbelief when the meat arrived in no time and it look beautifully grilled and juicy. My partner cut into it and it was cooked to absolute perfection. So credit where credit belongs, he said it was one of the best pieces of filet he had eaten in a long time. Great quality meat and beautifully cooked. You could say that saved our night but unfortunately it wasn't good enough and we probably wouldn't come back to dine here again.

Wir haben bei gutem Wetter drauÃen gegessen. Die Speisekarte war ausgewogen und das Essen insgesamt sehr gut. Der gehobene Preis war der Qualität des Essens angemessen.Was das Erlebnis insgesamt deutlich getrübt hat war die fehlende freundliche Serviceorientierung. Der (anscheinend zumindest) Eigentümer hat kaum etwas gesagt, die Tageskarte wurde einem wortlos hingestellt und noch vor der Bestellung wieder weggeräumt. Es gab keine Empfehlungen zum Essen oder zum Wein. Eine Weinkarte wurde nicht mal angeboten.Ich erwarte, daà man in einem Restaurant dieser Preisklasse freundlicher aufgenommen und bedient wird.Abzüge in der B-Note gibt es auch für das eher billig wirkende Besteck und die lieblose Tischdeko.
