Although the name suggests otherwise, the Blue Mountains is an actual town in Grey County that consists of several small communities including Thornbury, Christie Beach, Clarksburg, Heathcote and Ravenna. The area is very picturesque and scenic in the summer months and during "apple season" in the autumn, but the town is most famous for its mountains. Tourists flock to Intrawest's Blue Mountain Ski Resort year-round for its wide array of offerings. If you aren't in the mood for skiing or snowboarding, take a stroll through Blue Mountain Village and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes or a meal in one of the many restaurants located in the village.

Thornbury's award winning Bruce Wine Bar brings you a restaurant and live music venue in the pulsing heart of Collingwood's growing dining and entertainment district. Shaun Edmonstone's kitchen team brings you an eclectic dinner menu while keeping it loca
Wow! My only regret is this place has been open for two years and we didn’t try it sooner. All fresh local foods from scratch and so many enticing options on the menu it was hard to decide. Good thing the four of us all tried different appies and entrees, so we could share. Everything was amazing with unique presentation and flavours. Service was very attentive and friendly. I would like to see a regular pint of beer for $8 instead of an American 16oz pint, but food items were reasonably priced. We will be back, soon. Top 3 dining experience in Collingwood area.

Some serious issues with cleanliness, handling money and raw ingredients. Don needs to clean his pans, floor and everything else. Hire some help so he can keep up with orders. Cash only. Pepperoni is poor quality, cheese is good, sauce is sour, crust is homemade and fine. Price is good. Invest in display case so you can sell to kids by the slice. Really like Don though what a character. Takeout only. Maybe panzerotti's are better.

A gift certificate for the Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint on First Street in Collingwood is what got us to their front door. We had heard about this restaurant, one of many in this tourist-busy town, but had never visited there even though we live in Collingwood. As we walked into Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint the friendliest greeting ever – in our opinion – greeted us. A receptionist showed us to a booth and the friendliness continued. Our server was Katie and she took our order for Chicken Fettuccine ($16.00) and Porky Pie ($19.00), along with a coffee ($2.25) and a Diet Coke ($2.99). Our drinks were brought to us before our meals arrived and that gave us time to watch what was happening in the largely open-space restaurant, which also has a bar.It seemed to me that people enjoy working here, things were friendly. We enjoyed our meals, but there was quite a bit to the Chicken Fettuccine so my partner opted to take her left-overs home. No problem. A friendly server provided us with a take-away container.Overall the dining experience here was one we would repeat. On our way out to our car, in the parking lot, we met two adults and a youth going in to have some dinner. The man, it turned out, is a major “mover and shaker” in a Canadian restaurant franchise. While we would recommend Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint, it would be interesting to know what that in-coming customer thought of it. If you have never been to Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint, take a few minutes to read through their menu. It's interesting in itself with such things as Queen Pie, Eggs Benny Pie, Beauty Pie and Hedge Hog Pie; just to mention some of the many choices they offer. With tax our total bill came to $45.47 and on their invoice to us they provided a “Gratuity Suggestion Guide” of 18 per cent which equals $7.24. I believe that with the excellent service we found, the staff members at Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint deserve their gratuities.

While we were waiting for our take out pizza one night last week, a man came in and placed an order. After he paid, he looked at his change and then left it on the counter for the young worker and left the building... Upon discovering the change, the young man behind the counter picked it up and without hesitation deposited it into the donation box beside the till :D A little faith in our younger generation restored, and I just had to share the story.Kudos to you, young man!Our pizza and panzerottis were fantastic as always.

Mouth watering good pizzas..Gluten free options. The staff even asked our friends if they had religious reasons for being vegetarian to clean out vessels (never been asked this before). Pizzas were warm, fluffy and freshly used ingredients. Definitely stop here for your take out needs.

True to the Italian markets that inspired Magnone's, guests are greeted by a celebration of fresh ingredients that capture the essence of the kitchens of Italy. Boasting an open market feel, the rustic eatery spans two levels, allowing guests to enjoy Ita
The food was good but when I went to pay my bill the waitress charged me 18% gratuity for the size of my party. Which was only 5 people. It is printed on the menu 18% gratuity customary for parties of 6 or more. "Once I realized that I went back and asked why I was charged the 18% for 5 people which was a $42.00 gratuity when it is printed on the menu for parties of 6 or more. She told me they have changed the rules but haven't reprinted the menus. I asked if I could speak to the manager and she said she was the manager. She did offer to process a refund so I could change the tip and I excepted the refund and changed the tip amount. I just felt very offended and taken advantage of. I live in Toronto and have been to many restaurants which I have never been expected to pay a customary gratuity for a family dinner of 5 people. I would not go back or recommend this restaurant for families.Hi Michele,Thank you for sharing your concerns. I'm shocked to hear about this as it is not our standard at all for groups less than 6 people. Could you let me know the date that you dined with us so that I can follow up correctly? Our email is [email protected]. Thank you!

Family friendly restaurant with a varied menu sure to please everyone in your group. Family owned, locally focused, community oriented.
The food was great and even our picky eater children enjoyed it. Small, quiet, clean restaurant with friendly atmosphere. The portions were quite big.

Went with friends to Blue and lunched here. Pizza was delish. Tried the "May the Schwartz Be With You" with Montreal smoked meat, pickles and mustard. Delicious and just like a smoked meat sandwich on a pizza crust. The crust waslight and tasty. Others tried different pizzas. Be aware that there is no individual size pizza se two of us shared and that made the meal cost very reasonable. Waitress was very personable. I would go back there.
