Reviews on British food in Blue Mountains, Ontario, Canada. Although the name suggests otherwise, the Blue Mountains is an actual town in Grey County that consists of several small communities including Thornbury, Christie Beach, Clarksburg, Heathcote and Ravenna. The area is very picturesque and scenic in the summer months and during "apple season" in the autumn, but the town is most famous for its mountains. Tourists flock to Intrawest's Blue Mountain Ski Resort year-round for its wide array of offerings. If you aren't in the mood for skiing or snowboarding, take a stroll through Blue Mountain Village and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes or a meal in one of the many restaurants located in the village.

My Canadian cousins wanted to visit the Dam Pub so we did on a visit to Thornbury. The young woman server was friendly and nice and the prices reasonable. However, my ‘Club Sandwich’ resulted in an upset stomach. The guacamole on the top half of the ciabatta was black with herbs of some sort and not the fresh green colour of the avocado that my cousin had as a side. The chips accompanying the sandwich were overcooked little bits of potato. The chicken was moist and tender. My husband enjoyed his shaved beef sandwich and my cousins enjoyed their meals. The beer was enjoyed by the two men.

We offer dine in and take away options for those who love fish and chips. We also offer burgers, chicken fingers, broiled fish, meat pies and fabulous desserts, local beers on tap and a good selection of red and white wines. Seasonal patio out front, warm
We frequent downtown Collingwood several times a year and this place was recommended to us by friends in the area. I thought it was new, but has been in operation for 5 years. The Fish and Chips (Halibut) was excellent. The Chips are hand cut and cooked perfectly. The Halibut is fresh and quite meaty and not greasy at all and cooked perfectly too. The slaw is quite tasty. We sat on the patio out front which was nice. Staff are very friendly. We love the name and the logo....!! Highly Recommended !!Thanks for finding us!

This place continues to deliver after many years. Specials change daily, and the stalwarts on the menu are good value. The wings are easily the very best in the area. Attended last week for lunch with a friend. He had egg salad and soup and I had a nice curry. Service is good, friendly and professional. Could be a little faster coming out of the kitchen, but this doesn’t detract too seriously from the overall rating.
