Its population was 12,304 at the 2010 census, up from 5,779 at the 2000 census. We were here for lunch, and the waitress said that the restaurant opened in July 2015. We entered through the patio, and didn't know what to expect. What we saw when we went inside is an Italian restaurant with red and white checkered tablecloths and empty chianti bottles as centerpieces. It's sort of old school with music from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jimmy Durante and other singers from the 1940-50's playing in the background. We got there exactly at lunchtime and were the only people there for a while. My companions ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which they split, I had the appetizer pizza with chicken, alfredo sauce and cheese, and we shared a portabello mushroom appetizer. My pizza was topped with a lot of mozzarella and fresh parmesan. It was about 8" in diameter and was very tasty. The Eggplant came with pasta topped with meat sauce and fresh veggies on the side. The eggplant was a thick slice and topped with lots of cheese. My friends said it was enough to serve 3 people. They ended up bringing home a lot of the pasta. Service was a little slow, but it was probably due to our getting there just as they opened, and we were in no hurry. One side of the restaurant is just windows with great views of the lake. We enjoyed the view while we waited for our food. The outdoor patio has tables with umbrellas if you choose to dine outside.

Had dinner here with friends. We ate in the outdoor section and the food, service, and cocktails were excellent. I had chicken Vesuvio and others had pasta. Everything was tasty and the cocktails strong. I'll return next time I am in the area for sure.

This is a local joint in Big Bear a few blocks from the marinas. We wanted a quick snack before heading out on the water. We ordered a small sausage pizza and waited maybe 10-12 minutes. The pizza was good but nothing special. We are outside on one of the picnic tables so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. Inexpensive place to go if you are in Big Bear with kids.

What an amazing place! Food quality was excellent! The staff were equally amazing! They definitely know how to prepare sauces! After having the poulet a la creme, which was amazing, I came back and tried the duck a lâorange. Weâll be coming back for more! They definitely know how to prepare sauces! I canât wait to try out the rest of the menu!

Good, not great Italian food. Make a reservation because the restaurant is small and does fill up. My husband enjoyed his scallop starter off their daily menu and the surf and turf. I had a plain salad and Sand dabs which were both good. The highlight was the two meatballs we shared. I would have wanted more quality bread for an Italian Resturant but dipping it in the garlic olive oil helped that!

Eat there or take it home. What was once a small restaurant located in a single building, No Name Pizza has grown. There is a selection of salads, sandwiches, as well as pizza toppings. The place is clean, waitresses helpful, with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Don't expect fast food. Pizza's are prepared fresh with the option of having it baked or boxed for you to take home and bake. The salads are large enough to share so one can be divided, nothing like pizza and salad.

The highly rated Peppercorn Grille did not disappoint. This local family owned establishment offers a comfortable setting with tasteful decor and a limited outdoor seating area in which to watch the street foot traffic. The menu is mostly Italian fare with some Americana items here and there, especially with the meat dishes and appetizers. The food and service were very good and the portions most generous. Compared with the competition in Big Bear Lake Peppercorn Grille is expensive but worth a visit. Reservations are necessary during peak dining hours.

We stumbled upon Maggioâs mainly because every restaurant in town was packed. Checked trusty TripAdvisor and liked the reviews. We were not disappointed overall. Thought the garden salad was very small and overpriced. The pizza was good but we especially liked the light and fresh pizza crust. As we ate, the restaurant became busier and busier, so it must be a favorite local hangout. Would probably go again if we were in the area. They did have a large extensive menu to chose from.
