The Ibis hotel is ideally located in the centre of the typically Basque town of Ciboure, 10 minutes walk from the centre of St Jean de Luz and Place Louis XIV. Sights include the Maison de lInfante and the church where the King of France was married. Thebeach is 15 minutes walk away. The hotel features 72 airconditioned rooms. Enjoy a snack in the Rendez Vous bar, open 24 hours. Private undercover free parking.

Reviewed By Patricia DWe had stayed in St Jean de Luz 6 months ago in September paying almost three times the cost of this Ibis as that was for a few nights and were treating ourselves. This Ibis would have been a better choice. It was far cleaner, the service more friendly, the breakfast just as good for far less cost and the parking less scary and at no additional cost (although we did hear the car behind scrape their car against the wall on the exit slope so take care). It’s a good Ibis. Ideal for a couple of nights. We didn’t hear any noise in our room from the trains (although windows were closed) and the walk into St Jean was about ten minutes. For parking go into reception for a swipe key and get instructions. I’d use again for a short stay.

A small, very cosy hotel
Reviewed By salzbuaThis small hotel is well situated to visit the region, St Jean de Luz and Ciboure are in walking distance. The owner gave us a very heartly welcome. The hotel is nicely decorated and the room we had was charming. The breakfast (despite COVID) offered a rich selection on fruits, bread, yogurth and hot beverages. We only stayed one night but this hotel is on my list when I come back to the region!

Reviewed By Pleiades9Basic Ibis Budget not as good as other Ibis Budget stayed at. Ok for one night stop especially with secure underground car park at no extra fee. In quiet area and about 15 mins walk to centre of St Jean. Rooms small and bathroom sink part of room so no privacy. Looks like common parts need upgrading but room and bed clean and comfortable.

Reviewed By gmarodIt´s a quiet place close 10 minutes walking from St Jean de Luz and Ciboure port, good views to the sea you can hear it when its rough. I´ts simple place, no check in and no check out, all is done whith the internet booking. Clean and easy to park. Very good breakfast, like been at home. Nice place to visit French Basque country and Donostia. Has an amaizing potential if they invest in the little details like garden and little things inside the rooms.I if you want to stay one week i´ts expensive but nothing comparable to other close places.

Reviewed By Tonya HWe loved the Residence we stayed in. The site, pool and reception area are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our apartment however (in the Espelette building) was dark and cramped, especially the room with the bunk beds. It would be good to know what apartment building you were staying in at the time of booking.

Our host - Henri - provided us with a fabulous large bed sitting room with a lovely large bathroom and mountain views. Nothing was too much trouble and the many many thoughtful touches were much appreciated by weary travellers! The inclusive continental and plentiful breakfast was absolutely delicious too. We walked into St Jean de Luz and back up the steep incline after dinner which used up some calories! We look forward to returning to this delightful guest house

Bathroom with spacious shower. The terrace is furnished and has direct view to the sea. The owners are very charming and helpful. Very dog friendly. Small supermarket, baker and butcher nearby. Basic french knowledge is recommended. Small but nice - an insider tip.
