It was incorporated as a village in 1834 and as a city in 1891. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 8,365. It lies on the shore of Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the St. Joseph River, about 90 miles (140 km) east-northeast of Chicago. It is the county seat of Berrien County. It is home of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.

This is a solid three and a half star restaurant and as my teachers used to say, there's nothing wrong with being a little better than average. Average is good. The portions are substantial, the service is fast and friendly. I'd put this above a Denny's but below someplace like Mason Jar Cafe.

Ordered by phone the first time, unfortunately order not correct, meat covered in sauce. Ordered dry to see how pork was smoked, had the potato salad instead as it was the last order of meat left for that day. Went back in person the second time,order correct. The Rib Tips are well smoked and Very Tasty ,Pork has the familiar reddish pink smoke ring that comes from the smoking process . Excellent fresh potato salad is a must try. My friend took my recommendation and tried Dialo's with his family last week and reports that the Fried Chicken, Mac n Cheese and Loaded french fries are the Bomb. Very Good Soul Food. Enjoy:)

Cafe Mosaic is primarily a coffee/espresso shop but they also have really good food. Parking is usually easily found in their lot except during the Farmer's Market which takes over their parking lot. The menu is limited but every item I have tried has been exceptionally good and very affordable. The service can be sketchy, so if time is a concern, you may or may not get in and out quickly. If you have a few minutes, it's generally worth the short wait.

Timing and varieties are everything, and we must have hit Mimi's Cupcakes at just the right time, because of the half dozen cupcakes that we picked out, each was really good in its own right. We even brought some home when we returned to Chicago and they quickly disappeared, so fast, that I never got a second one. I guess we'll be heading back again. The prices are a bit higher, but then these are not Hostess cupcakes. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The pictures above on Trip Advisor best describes this unique place. What an enjoyable place to have a wonderful breakfast.The owner is hands on and her pleasant personality adds to the atmosphere whether you are a regular or first timer. They have freshly squeezed orange juice which became a topic of a friendly debate between me, a resident of Florida and the owner, that it was "fake orange juice" since the oranges probably didn't come from the sunshine state. All in good fun. Sit outside and enjoy the water and the ambience. Kudos to the husband and wife team along with their pleasant daughter for creating a very unique, enjoyable part of Americana . Take advantage of a visit if you stop in this part of Michigan.

We wanted a good old fashioned breakfast. Hard to find here, so it worked in a pinch. They DO have an eating contest, but I didn't partake...next time.The Food - It is breakfast plain and simple. No frills. HOWEVER, I had the chicken fried steak and the gravy was amazing. The plate was to small for what I ordered.The Staff -Our server was frustrated, I don't blame her. Short staffed...but they worked as hard as they could with what they had. This is the only reason they got 3 stars.I bet on any given day, this is a 4 star experience!

This place is close to my house. The website is great so I can order food to go and take it with me to work. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The website allows for me to order and have it ready to go when I get there. If you eat there you can choose to taste the soup before you get it. I enjoy their power bowls with Kale and often get those. I also think there oatmeal cookies area great. The soups I have had are good. None really stand out as great but I will continue to try different ones to find my favorite. So far the one I like the best is the Italian Wedding soup.We are happy to hear you enjoy our friendly service and so many of our menu items, such as our soups and Power Bowls. Even if you are picking up orders to go, please know you are welcome to sample any of our soups.

We eat here about once a month when we drive up to go to church with friends as it is a favorite place of theirs. So we've eaten here five times since June. The menu is extensive and there are regular specials. I've had both breakfast and lunch items. The staff are very friendly, know all the regulars and will stop to chat. Portions are generous. Service is fast.

Friendly service, good prices and delicious food. Truly a place that values local sourcing, and careful attention to detail in preparing your meal. Had the burger with a side of bacon and it was delicious. Others had the salad, salmon, and both were amazing. Would readily come back here time and time again, every time Iâm in the area.
