A Quiet haven
Reviewed By 921george010I visited Arenas de san Pedro on a short walking break (4 days) This small hotel (5 rooms) is located not far from the centre of this small town. It is close to the Tourist Office and all the bar and restaurants. This is not a main tourist area and English is not widely understood or spoken The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were the only visitors in the hotel when we stayed. The bathroom was also clean although the shower could do with some work to prevent water spilling onto the bathroom floor. Breakfast was served in the outside courtyard . The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. It was very hot when we stayed and there was no air con. However I would say that this hotel was good value and a good base for a walking holiday in the foothills of the Gredos

Hostel Avenida has 18 well-appointed rooms, with a total of 40 beds; divided in single, double and triple rooms. All spacious rooms have a private bathroom, heating/ventilator, TV and WIFI; ask for our rooms with view on the Gredos Mountains.

Reviewed By camira34The Hostal was spotlessly clean and the hosts made us feel most welcome. They gave us lots of information about things to do in the area. There is a bar underneath which was convenient. Wifi was available in the room, also in the bar. This is a good base for exploring the area, which is beautiful.

Good place for your mountain trips
Reviewed By PaK83I like the place and like this hostal. What I like is service (very clean, bedding changed daily, towels every two days). There is only one problem connected with its location - as this is almost in the town center it is very noisy during the night. One more thing, it is not good for older people, as rooms are since the 2nd floor up with no elevator.

Zonas comunes totalmente cuidadas, limpias, decoración exquisita, confortable, cómodo, lugar tranquilo, Lugar que transmite paz y confort, vistas espectaculares, muy buena orientación. Habitaciones y baños perfectos. calidad en todo (camas, ropa de cama, colchones, calidad de materiales de construcción (interior y exterior correspondientes a un hotel ecológico), no se acaba el agua al ducharte, Piscina de sal, soleado, sin humedad, jardín cuidado, dispone de huerto ecológico y animales en su zona de la finca correspondiente, acceso a parking y seguridad de la finca excelente, limpieza y desinfección covid perfecta, amabilidad del anfitrión, información turística proporcionada por el hotel, atención a necesidades especiales de los huéspedes..) No sé si me dejo algo pero todo es perfecto y cuidado hasta el mínimo detalle. Se agradece un alojamiento así en todos los sentidos ya que Es difícil encontrar un lugar así en Arenas De San Pedro y en los alrededores. Absolutamente recomendable y por su puesto volvería. Enhorabuena por este alojamiento.

A great experience
Reviewed By D_maria4Located in the heart of the old town, in a very quiet area. A beautifully restored traditional Spanish house, with very comfortable rooms. A place not only to stay but to experience the life of Spanish towns, having as a hosts a couple of artists, that offer you the opportunity to enjoy a ceramic workshop with them. A fantastic experience!

Está muy bien situada en Arenas, es tranquila e ideal para un par de familias. Por poner algún "pero", las escaleras al ser antiguas son muy altas y para niños muy pequeños resulta peligrosa.

Terrible food and poor service.
Reviewed By dreamdiver2017We went there for lunch and it was a real disappointment. The steak was hard as a rock, the waiter even brought us another knife as we couldn't get through the meat. We also ordered the "cochinillo"(little pig). It was dry and hard since it had been reheated several times and I think it was older than my dog Larry. We barely saw our server and when we did see him he had a huge attitude like we were a big inconvenience. These guys really need chef Ramsay to come around. Spare yourself an unpleasant grub.
