Discover Restaurants offering the best Bar food in Los Alamitos, California, United States. Los Alamitos ("The Little Cottonwoods" in Spanish) is a small city in Orange County, California. The city was incorporated in March 1960. The population was 11,449 at the 2010 census, down from 11,536 at the 2000 census. It is often mistakenly thought to include the adjacent but unincorporated community of Rossmoor (population just under 11,000), which uses Los Alamitos as its mailing address. The Los Alamitos Race Course is also widely believed to be in the city; although it does have a Los Alamitos postal address and zip code, it actually lies in the neighboring city of Cypress.

Loved this dining experience! Fantastic, sweeping inlet sunsets, top off a savory and splendid dining experience! Their presentation is impeccable, yet casual. We dined mid week, with a jazz band playing and the place was packed! For being tucked in the far corner of a shopping mall, they did a great job just on their exterior and entryway, to transport you to another place. It’s a bit pricer than the previous reviews indicate, I’d suggest planing on a 3$$$, for a full course meal. It’s well worth it and great place to relax and enjoy delicious Asian flair foods. My 17 year old daughter enjoyed it too, but as a mama of two, I’d recommend dining here early if you plan to bring younger ones, to beat the crowd, as this is a much more relaxed and slower paced dining experience and some kiddos may end up bored and restless. IMHO. Savor this meal, you’ll remember it!

Fantastic service and some great foodWe really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. Fun little bar/grill with a real neighbourhood feel. Our waitress had excellent suggestions and knew the menu inside and out. Great selection of beer on tap to boot!I had placed my order but saw a plate of the Guiness meat pie go by and quickly changed. Glad I did The puff pastry crust was light and flakey and the insides were piping hot and yummy. We also had one of the daily specials mac 'n cheese with lobster and shirmp. While the lobster was a little chewy, the pasta and shrimp were excellent. When we mentioned it our waitress wanted to bring out an entire new plate, and when we insisted that was not required she insisted on treating us to a dessert. Now that's customer service!Lots of other intriguing items on the menu for our next visit!

Everything we ordered was excellent with the exception of the peach cobbler. Especially liked the mashed sweet potatoes. We had a friendly greeting and a very good waiter. Nice big booth which we requested. This restaurant is actually quiet, which is rare these days. Wish it was closer to home.

A few girls and I are here on a trip and thought this place looked good. Our waitress Leanne was good but the food, not so much. I had the Malibu burger which was ok the side salad looked like it had been dumped from a bag and had spoiled lettuce in it. My friend had the quesadilla and it literally had nothing in it. My other friend had the jungle Caesar and it was nothing to write home about at all. Not impressed. What chair is too bad as we’re staying at the renaissance which is very close and we could have had our “go to” spot for the week. I wouldn’t recommend it at all

Recently met girlfriends for lunch and had a great time! Always good service and a fun menu. We enjoyed choices from their variety of great burgers, which come with fries, salad or sweet potato fries! I love their Kahlua Pork Tacos as well...come with great beans. And their Chicken Tortilla soup is amazing! Always enjoy there! Fun Beach theme!

Nick's has simple, delicious food. The menu isn't overwhelming with choices and I have not had a bad meal here. My favorite is the fried chicken, but the fish and meat are also fresh and cooked to perfection. The sides and appetizers are unique and tasty. I like the asparagus fries and the shrimp taquitos. It is reasonably priced and well worth the cost, for the quality of the food. They have a full bar selection as well.

This place is worth the wait! Parking: parking is limited but there is street parking available too. Don't give up! Enter: next to the hostess is a Thrifty Ice Cream counter! Delicious flavors to choose from including cookies and cream, and cherry! The food: There is sooo much to choose from! I strongly suggest asking for a menu to review while you're waiting! The portion sizes are generous. The bottomless garlic fries are delicious! The pickles here are great! I like to ask for extra. Paper straws for drinking. The staff: everyone is very kind and welcoming. There is a bar with big screen TVs that can be seen throughout the dining room. Outside there are large warming lamps to keep everyone nice and toasty! It can be a little loud. I would NOT suggest this for anyone in the family who is hard of hearing. Family and kid friendly 100%!

Brew Kitchen Ale House

This is a causal neighborhood restaurant with a covered patio facing Los Al Blvd. It offers a large selection of craft beers. We loved our Portland aged sour blond ale (#29 Cascade Brewing Belmont Street Bramble). Our dining companions enjoyed their Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio. The food was very good (with friendly service). The Sancho burger topped our dinner selection. It was really juicy and flavorful with roasted jalapeños and ancho chili mayo. The cherry wood bacon burger with Memphis style bbq sauce likewise was delicious. Both pasta dishes (salmon belly bow tie pasta in vodka sauce and the Alehouse pasta in short rib ragu served with a grilled Bratwurst) were also well prepared. We had an enjoyable dinner and will surely return.

My parents and sister took my friends and I to dinner at this restaurant. What a wonderful experience with excellent service and food. The portions were ample and filling. We started with the friend calamari which was splendid and crispy. My meal opened with a salad, and then I had the salmon with grilled vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent is an understatement. The rest of our party had a plethora of items that all looked delicious. The next time I’m in Long Beach I’ll be eating here again. I just loved it! Next time I’ll be bringing the wife and sons.
