Truly excellent; clean, beautiful, and luxurious. Friendly staff who are willing to help; the best breakfast I've ever had in a stay, and I was blown away by the detail to the pool/lounge area. The valley is fairly small, so it's easy to get wherever, but after walking around in the town of Napa, we were glad to have chosen Yountville as our stay as it is much more quaint and beautiful. Such a wonderful stay. We cannot wait to return.

Nice property. Service needs some work.

I was very bummed to spend this kind of money and receive the poor level of service we did. We were greeted by a woman scowling at us outside. Per other reviews, others seem to be greeted w champagne. No one offered to show us to our room or help with bags. I’ve stayed at places costing significantly less albeit very nice and enjoyed much better service and much warmer welcoming. The breakfast was nice. The rooms are nice and clean. Balcony was a nice added feature. The day before we were leaving, I asked the front desk and concierge where I could find a box for wine to take back… we are in wine country, I’m pretty sure, so not an unusual request. They said they could ship my wine for me. Here’s the rate sheet. Oh perfect, for $225, we’ll ship it for you. No, I really just need a box. I don’t need you to ship it for $225. Sorry, we don’t have a box. My issue is, we’ve stayed at other nice places and enjoyed a much higher level of service, which I believe is deserved at these rates. There are other options, which I will definitely explore upon return. We did find a shop a couple doors down with a box for $15. The concierge/ front desk, apparently not aware where to find boxes to ship wine.

Decadent, calming, restorative - my new happy place

Reviewed By kathleenwA2323LY

Everyone I encountered throughout my stay was super lovely, from check-in to turn down service. Everything went smoothly, which is exactly what I needed after a crazy week at work. I arrived early in the morning and was able to park my car before meeting up with my family for a decadent lunch at a nearby restaurant. As soon as I settled my bill at the restaurant, I bid adieu to my family and went straight to the spa. The spa was great. I got a massage, which was divine. I actually fell asleep on the table. Then after the massage, I took a shower in the spa area and, for the first time in my life used the steam function. I need a steam shower in my life now, it won’t happen, but I still need it. Finally, I was able to settle into my room. It was just so peaceful, that I immediately took the second nap of my visit to Hotel Yountville. My room was what I aspire my home to look like if I was organized enough and motivated enough to hire an interior designer, it was just so lovely. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was really nicely styled, the robes were cozy, what else could I ask for? Oh, I’ll tell you, the fancy chocolates that they give you at turndown. I almost declined them, but the women who knocked on my door for turndown suggested that I take them. Good advice. Bottom line, I loved it and will be back.

Not worth the money. Not a 5 star hotel

Booked connecting rooms almost a year ahead of arrival. Arrived and they weren’t connecting. front desk person finally rectified that situation. Called from room and asked for blankets. They didn’t arrive for 3 hours. Called back and 30 minutes later someone showed up and said that the Hotel didn’t have blankets. I’ve never been in a hotel that doesn’t have blankets. Didn’t feel the room was particularly clean. Under the fireplace was a lot of hair and dust. Very loud hotel. People above us sounded like elephants walking. Were parting until about midnight.

Great setting

Managed to get one of the railcars. Originally booked a suite but was able to into a railcar after a cancellation. Perfect location in the middle of Yountville. Hotel had a small snack bar which was closed the days we were there (only open on weekends) but was walking distance to restaurants and coffee shop. Had an enclosed area to gather and sip wine from our wine visits. Does not offer any services but was just a fun experience.
