Wonderful in every way
Reviewed By Shaun MFrom driving up to the hotel, through check in by the owner and being shown the room, dinner in the fabulous restaurant, breakfast and check out, everything was perfect. The property is fantastic - beautifully and sympathetically restored with all modern conveniences. Room very spacious, a magnificently comfortable bed, top quality towels and linen, complimentary Nespresso, bottled water, bottled iced tea, huge flat screen TV, lots of cupboard space with PROPER (not awkward hotel style) hangers.... A main feature is the owner - super polite, friendly, helpful, even on second night when we wanted to dine out - superb recommendation! Even though the restaurant in the hotel was very hard to beat - fantastic food, beautiful vaulted brink room, superb professional service, wonderful food and excellent wines. Breakfast excellent, with egg boiler, toaster, many breads/pastries, artisanal yoghurts (including goats), ham, salami, quality cheeses, great coffee and top quality teas - even a machine producing freshly squeezed orange juice and again wonderful service. I cannot recommend this hotel more strongly and its in a perfect location to explore the wonderful Ardeche region. Bravo!

An oasis in the wilderness

Although they speak no English we conversed in schoolboy French and they made breakfast a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Help with ideas of where to go and what to do but it was the food that was especially nice. Just the best home made food you could get to start your day. The pool is perfect for those few hours cooling off from the heat of the Ardeche. The location is perfect for the canoeing areas near Vallon Pont D'arc. Close to Barjac for shopping and the Friday market the location is secluded yet accessible. A fine place to stay.

Our large 18th century farmhouse is set on high ground in its own 50 hectares allowing full panoramic views and spectacular surrounding scenery. Close by are the famous natural arch the "Pont d'Arc" and the recently discovered Grotte Chauvet. It is ideal for organising large seminars. You will have at your disposal a large kitchen equipped for groups of up to 45 people. You can also enjoy the domaine's authenticity and peace as a couple or family as our hosting capacity is flexible.
A wonderful week in the Ardèche
Reviewed By CorbsMasterIn late June/ early July, we spent a wonderful week in the Ardèche staying in the Olivier apartment at Domaine de L'Astic. We had a lovely warm welcome and a nice surprise in the room when we arrived. The rooms inside were spacious, clean and had everything you need. The room we had was just a few seconds walk to a stunning swimming pool with panoramic views over vast areas of unspoilt, forested hills. The pool was very well made with a proper deep end and a shallower side pool and it was bliss to float around in the sun amongst the lovely trees. The whole property has lots of different nooks and crannies which are great to explore, especially with young kids. There is an ancient walled garden, numerous small-holding animals and several playing areas (ball games/ boules). We received great advice about where to visit -Barjac village is a little gem and a 32 km paddle in kayaks down the pristine, limestone gorge of the Ardèche river is unforgettable. In short, this is the perfect place to come and stay in the Ardèche if you want to stay in a stunning, authentic and friendly place that gives easy (car) access to the best the Ardèche has to offer. Thank you to Colette and Janick, we will be back!

Great place for families or couples
Reviewed By philygee86I was here with my gf for a 2-night stay, tent camping. Loved everything about this place. The only disappointment was that the sauna was closed at the time. Great pool deck with 3 pools; cozy restaurant and patio, very relaxing mood; very clean bathrooms which are cleaned regularly and fully stocked; friendly staff who are all very willing to help. I would love to return here! Highly recommended.

Propriétaire accueillante et donnant de bonnes indications de promenades. Chambre et salle de bains très propre. Bemols: pas de wifi, pas de tv dans les chambres et pas de climatisation. Mais ici on est là pour déconnecter !

Reviewed By Paul KIt was my first time in the Domaine. My friend was already here three times before. And now it's clear to me why. We were here to enjoy some biking in the Ardèche. And it delivered. The trails were great and the guides competent. There was a great spirit in our group. The pool was a treat after a hard ride. And dinner was always delicious. They even hat no problem working around my gluten allergy.

Reviewed By RPD1987This Camping is very nice. It lies secluded on the Border of Ardeche and Gard. This camping has all you need. A nice and clean Sanitary area with Washing Machine, Washing area outside, and inside clean toilets and showers with good pressure and warm water. Its cleaned thoroughly at least daily. we had a nice spot, with shade throughout the day and a private countertop with tap water and sink. The pool was recently renovated and looked very nice! With the heatwave going on it was very nice to cool down. The bar area provides with all you need; the couple owning the camping make excellent pizza and weekly thai food menu. The owner is very helpful and asissted us with finding a good spot to put our caravan and even provided us with an extension cord for the power outlet. the camping spots are well maintained, the grass is kept short and everything is neatly trimmed. Most spots have a lot of shade and alot of spots have a little countertop with a tap and sink. most spots have great views on the surrounding mountains and winefields The area is great too, you have both the Ardeche and Gard which you can enjoy for rafting, winetasting and great dining I would highly recommend this camping
