Reviewed By Danielle DWe drove from Calais to this hotel, which we found to be very welcoming, clean and stylishly furnished. We enjoyed walking around the town, castle, and visited a lovely bakery to get our dinner. Our room, which was in the cottage, had four beds upstairs and was nice and quiet at night. The owners took their Covid safety measures seriously which was reassuring to us. The best thing was the enclosed courtyard where we enjoyed breakfast. Thank you!

Reviewed By froggy45500This no frills hotel is located on the market square, right next to the tourism office and what is possibly one of the best restaurants in the area, the Hostellerie du Grand Sully. It is a 5 mn walk to the castle, its park and the river Loire picnic area. Lots of cafes around and the market has plenty to offer on the mornings it's on. There's a small supermarket across the road that has everything you need and is open on Sundays, a rare thing in rural France. As for the hotel itself, the decor is certainly sort of medieval kitsch but my room was on the second floor (no lift) light and clean with a very comfy mattress. Breakfast was continental (as in French continental) and very tasty, so worth adding to the room price. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Reviewed By Melanie CStayed on first stop on Drive to Spain. Not disappointed- good location, absolutely immaculate inside and beautifully furnished. Room was lovely and bed really comfy. Sully sur loire is a lovely village with a stunning chateaux on the doorstep of the hotel. I would most definitely stay here again. Be careful of arriving on a Sunday though, as most of the village was shut and we couldn't find anywhere to eat. However the hotel manager found us an amazing bottle of local wine, and our buffet breakfast set us up for the next day - it was plentiful, delicious and meticulously clean. The hotel owners have certainly paid a lot of attention to detail and cleanliness.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large.The diner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent. Other good points : a fridge in the room and a free private carpark. The price was very reasonable.

Reviewed By N0dellWe stayed here while cycling. The room was clean, the bathroom modern. There was secure bike storage, but exposed to rain if weather turns bad. The stairs are narrow and steep to the upper floors, so if you have large, heavy bags be prepared for the climb. Breakfast was simple, standard continental fare.

Reviewed By cholet pAu fond d'une avenue en impasse, en face de la gare abandonnée, ce petit hôtel avec repas midi et soir à prix compétitifs est idéal. On voit que les nouveaux propriétaires sont présents ! petite chambre propre avec terrasse, lavabo, écran plat. Dommage que le WC près de la chambre 1 soit si petit (on pourrait toucher la porte avec les genoux) et que l'isolation phonique avec la douche juste à côté soit si mauvaise. J'entendais l'eau de la douche couler... Ceci dit le prix de la chambre est attractif. Petit déjeuner servi dès 5H. ; la veille, j'ai bien dîné dans une ambiance de chauffeurs routiers comme il se doit.
