Reviewed By karenjohnstonThis lovely stone cottage (gite) is in an enviable position in the northern Ardeche mountains with spectacular views. It was a pleasure to sit in the hot tub and dine on the porch whilst admiring the garden and the mountains in the distance. Florence is so nice and does all she can to ensure a pleasant stay. She brought us the apero in the tub and cooked a fabulous dinner with local ingredients. And she provided 4 different types of home made jam for breakfast. It's an easy 2 hour drive from Lyon and once there convenient to access the Dolce Via biking/walking trail which is highly recommended.

A very nice place stop between Paris and the riviera
Reviewed By davidpO1907RQNeeded to stop overnight en route to Monaco and had to stop due to curfew restrictions. Found this hotel and have no regrets. The beds are fantastic and the lady at reception was exceptionally nice and helpful and could not do enough to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The room is refurbished and pleasant, with one minor critique that the heater/air conditioner is a little noisy. The pool looks lovely but we look forward to returning in the summer and being able to use it. During our stay the restaurant was closed due to COVID restrictions, but we were given plenty of help to find local takeaway vendors. Breakfast is currently served on a tray that you collect from the main building and was ample consisting of hot drink, juice, viennoiseries, bread, ham and cheese. The hotel obviously cares about its guests and the COVID measures were evident at all times with great care being taken. I would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Somewhere special with a friendly welcom
Reviewed By SusannahLaMThis really is a special place. There are turrets and stone spiral staircases. Our welcome was warm and friendly, and the bike was given a safe place to stay. The room was enormous with an excellent shower. Due to the solid stone walls, wifi and mobile reception were tricky to find, but it was possible. The evening meal is exactly what you want from table d'hote: dining with your host and other guests, a local aperatif with snacks, an excellent 4 course meal washed down with some local wine. Breakfast was equally generous and we left with very warm feelings and the hope that someday we shall return to Domaine du Clap.

L'emplacement est parfait pour découvrir la ville de Privas (le centre ville et les restaurants sont à 5 minutes à pied). rue très calme. Accueil chaleureux. accès par porte indépendantes pour les locataires.

Solid hotel for a stopover
Reviewed By 636gregoryvThis hotel probably is just average, but we were there right after the Covid lockdown and the lady running the place all alone was working so hard that I'll give it a "very good." The 1970's building is a bit faded, as are the nondescript rooms, but we were perfectly comfortable in ours. There's a nice pool and comfortable common areas. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what it was, but the jams were very good. It's quiet, and a short walk to the center of the town where there's a good choice of restaurants. All in all, nothing special, but we needed a place to stay en route south, and it did the trick.

Difficult parking, pretty spot
Reviewed By mfeakinWarm welcome but M.Christine wanted to be paid in cash immediately and we were not expecting that. Then we were asked to park in town ( 'only' 6 minutes walk away) We had to walk up steep unkempt concrete steps to find where to park and then return for the car. We were offered a torch when I said it was dark! The access to the room is interesting but very difficult via narrow steep steps. The property is charmingly clinging to the hillside but outside paths , even to the breakfast area were difficult mainly because they were not particularly well kept. Breakfast friendly and good. Bathroom modern with lots of hot water

Séjour très agréable
Reviewed By giacoo72Nous avons passé quatre nuits au domaine avec cinq enfants. Le gîte est très bien équipé pour nous tous. La piscine le jacuzzi et la salle de sport étaient les bienvenus après des journées de balades et activités nautiques dans les environs. Son emplacement au cœur de la nature est un atout de plus. La gérante est une personne agréable, prévenante, réactive et toujours à notre écoute. Le personnel également est serviable et agréable. Que du positif ! A recommander. Nous y retournerons.
