Reviewed By bhodges-psuI can't thank the folks in New Stanton enough for welcoming our (2) high school ultimate teams on less than 18 hours notice. I'm so glad there were enough rooms to accommodate us. The New Stanton team worked the reservation system to make it possible for us to have (2) bed rooms, they helped us with access to the meeting room, they brought in a maintenance tech when one of our players dropped their phone and it went down the elevator shaft, the are mailing a treasured necklace back that had fallen behind the bed, they opened breakfast early to help with our logistics, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON we encountered on the staff was warm and welcoming. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and their ability to rally on short notice to accommodate us was brilliant. Thank-you New Stanton Hampton Inn team, thank-you.

Great overnight stay
Reviewed By beth070303Great overnight stay! Booked directly through the Marriott Bonvoy app with no issues. When we arrived at the hotel, we were promptly greeted at the desk and checked in. The young man at the desk thanked us for our loyalty to the brand and was quick and efficient. Our room was located on the top floor at the end. It was very quiet! The room was very clean, and I’m picky. Housekeeping needs a big thank you for keeping it so clean!!! The ONLY drawback to the property is that there is no catch to the doors so unless you hold the door and ease it closed (which most people don’t do), it slams shut. In the AM, there were lots of slamming doors. We were up so it didn’t bother us but I can imagine other people may find it bothersome. Breakfast was good. Solid coffee with several breakfast items to choose from. Friendly woman keeping everything stocked up and fresh. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay!

Situated right in the middle of I-70 and I-76. Every room has a mirco/fridge, coffee maker, iron & board, clock radio, in-room safe. Some rooms have whirlpool jacuzzis. We have heated in-door pool and small fitness area. We serve a hot continental breakfast.

Reviewed By 42golf56_9We had a room near the checkin desk so the hall was noisy at times. The rooms are not big but the layout is good. The sink is in one area, toilet and bathtub in another; these are tight spaces. Beds were comfortable and the heating/AC unit worked well. The refrigerator has no freezer compartment as is common these days. There is a desk with chair and a easy chair for watching TV. A bench for luggage is handy, but no USB plug in the room. I used the microwave in the room for making my hot cereal before venturing out to the crowded breakfast room to get coffee. The breakfast selection was done well, hot foods , muffins, and cold cereal. No breakfast room has a microwave oven these days, I imagine no one wants to clean it! Indoor pool is under construction and not being worked on at the moment. We will use this hotel again.

Reviewed By clantzerThis Red Roof Inn exceeded out expectations. It was very clean, the staff was beyond hospitable. I would recommend this motel to travelers. I use to work for RRI in the late 80's and 90's and this is by far the nicest one I've been in. So thank you New Stanton RRI! We'll be back.

Budget Hotel that needs cleaning
Reviewed By caraelainehinhThe hotel was on the very line of acceptable for the one night that I stayed there. If you're looking for cleanliness and feeling refreshed this is not the place. If you're just there for the night then maybe it may work for you. But, the shower was not clean enough for me use.

Other hotel features are guest laundry facilities and pets are always welcome with an additional $20 fee. DISGUSTING!
Reviewed By Sue MWhen we booked this hotel by phone they refused to take our credit card info, so we were not sure if we actually had a reservation. In retrospect, I wish we did NOT have a reservation. This is an old Howard Johnson's that has not had any upkeep since it was a Howard Johnson's. When we arrived the large metal awning at the entrance was falling apart and the parking lot was full of deep potholes. our room had a patio door opening onto the parking lot that was locked by pushing a metal dowel through holes drilled into the door and the door handle. Our room smelled musty, two of the electric outlets had no power, and the wi-fi didn't work. When I am in a Mississippi Juke Joint I don't mind if my feet stick to the floor. But, My feet should not stick to the carpet in my hotel room. The bed was so butt-sprung that I think Abraham Lincoln actually did sleep here! Two associates had a different room and were awakened in the middle of the night when the toilet in the room above them began leaking through the ceiling in their room! There is one ray of hope. The desk clerk/owner told us the gas station next door is buying the property to tear it down and build a truck stop. High praise to the gas station! Stay away from this place!
