Subpar for Holiday Inn Express
Reviewed By Susan TWe stayed here vs. Paducah to save money and that was the good thing about this hotel. They accepted a coupon. After just staying at this chain in Macon, this hotel was a letdown. The rooms were half as big and we could barely fit all our stuff. All the tables were overflowing. Even the luggage carts were half-sized. We had to make two trips. We were thankful to get the top floor cause the floorboards creaked terribly. The place needs a serious structural renovation. There were blood stains on the sheet, the comforter was wrinkled and smelled like the last person’s perfume and the carpet needed cleaning. I also felt like there were small bugs flying around. The room was humid and the AC couldn’t cool well. In the morning we went to make coffee but only found one coffee cup. It’s like the room had never been cleaned. The breakfast was not near the quality in Macon. Disappointing stay. We won’t be back.

Reviewed By Tish GRoom with view of river was nice, but not worth the price. $15.00 Resort fee, for what? Restaurant was closed on Monday. Room was clean but outdated, and even though listed as a non smoking, you can still smell the old smoke.

Reviewed By shamekah657We checked in to a room with ants. We had to go waste time while it was cleaned. We requested this particular room because of the jacuzzi tub & he prefers a smoking room. The bathroom consisted of mold & ants as well. After all of that we had dirty sheets??

No worrth the money
Reviewed By noblegl1Beds were comfortable, We had cold showers for two days, no room service for two days. No butter and cream cheese for toast or bagels. The coffee was luke warm. No hot water and tea bags for tea. No eggs, bacon or sausage for breakfast. Building was missing a security lock on the exterior door. No clock, refrigerator, and microwaves in the rooms. Over 40 nail pops showing on the ceiling.

Quality inn & suite is conveniently located off I-24 near Harrah's Riverboat Casino, Kentucky Oaks Mall, and Players Bluegrass Downs. Our amenities include a heated indoor pool, fridge and microwave in each room. Spacious suites have a sofa sleeper. Free-Wifi and hot breakfast included. Indoor pool. 24/7 security footage covering exterior and interior of hotel. Newly remodeled.

We made the reservations via the 800 number. The operator said the price was $88 and that we should show the online price to the desk person to get that price. Should have known something was wrong. Got to the hotel. Desk dude says the price is $89 after tax. We showed him the online price of $77. He said that that included the AARP discount. NOT! Price did not include the discount. Not wanting to argue any longer so we paid for the room. Walked down the filthy hallway to the room. It had not been cleaned. It was a mess. Went back to the desk. Told him that the room hadn't been cleaned. Oh, yes it has! No it hasn't. Again he said it has been cleaned. We all marched down the dingy hall so he could see the dirty room. I'll give you another room. After not giving us our discount and calling us liars we decided to leave. We were pissed. Stay at your own risk.

Bare bones, but clean

Cose this place because of the price and not many negative reviews. Positives: good location near the interstate, room is clean, odor free, bug free..... everything works. Negatives: they provide a desk, but NO outlets near the desk. there are 2 outlets but taken by the refrigerator and microwave. (I unplugged the microwave so I could use my laptop) It was a King room, one bed and just empty space. Why couldn't they put some furniture in there? .... a couch, a table... anything. NO coffee maker in the room!!! No breakfast, but they did offer some lousy coffee in the lobby. no shampoo, cheap towels. This place will do for a one night stopover if you are on a budget and only want a bed to sleep on.

Econo Lodge in Metropolis Illinois should be demolished
Reviewed By Joanne LWe booked a room in the Econo Lodge in Metropolis months before our trip, the picture of the hotel looked beautiful and it was clean. We got to our destination, and we drove right by it, as it didn’t have a sign outside, and the building looked like it should have been demolished, we went to the chambers of commerce and talked to a woman and she told us to try going to Quality Suites. So we did, we went back to the Econo Lodge, and my husband went in and the care taker said we would have to pay one night for cancelling, so he did, she showed him the room anyway and he was disgusted! The room looked dirty and stunk! So please do not book at the Econo Lodge in Metropolis Illinois! I rate this hotel “0” I had to put something in before I could submit it.
