Kim at Front Desk INCREDIBLE!! Super Positive Energy!!
Reviewed By Michael BI would have to agree with many of the recent reviews of this hotel. BUT the lone bright spot was our checking in process with front desk attendant Kim. She was such a bright ray of positive energy and I felt compelled to give her high marks here at Tripadvisor. A possible solution to reimaging or renovating the hotel would be to start with promoting Kim to be the face of the hotel. When guest arrive they receive her kindness and professionalism and then experience a GRAND hotel experience. Doubletree you already have Kim all you need to do is improve the hotel. Thanks again Kim and making my daughter and I smile.

Reviewed By Lakedale1A posh high rise hotel off the interstate. Seems best as a convention hotels. Our stop here just for overnight. Terribly overpriced for that. If you want a stop and go, go somewhere else. Not for travelers. Room was a little on the small side as compared to newer hotels but soundproof. High quality furniture, greet Wi-Fi. Checking staff efficient and pleasant. Convenient on and off from I 287.

Reviewed By V3593URdavebWe arrived at night and were checked in easily by a nice young man. There is a nice variety of food options in the lobby if you need something to eat. The room itself wasn't amazing but modern and up to date. We were on the road side, and road noise was considerable so a light sleeper would need to be on the opposite side of the building. Beds were comfy enough. I had to iron some shirts and when using the steam feature, it permanently stained my shirt. A wall outlet was not securely fastened and was a safety concern. We had a misunderstanding about a possible continental breakfast. Instead there was a Starbuck's counter that had enough selection to satisfy us. Overall a nice mid level hotel.

Not going there ever again
Reviewed By landcj2022The only reason I didn't rate it a 1 is that the bed was comfortable. As for the rest, where do I start? The receptionist was on an obviously personal phone call throughout check-in. Even though I called ahead to say my husband was recovering from a knee injury, they put us in the only set of rooms that involved walking up stairs (note - the first floor rooms are NOT ADA-compliant!). The website advertised breakfast - there was nothing, not even coffee, and several other guests inquired as well. Also the staff didn't know of anywhere local that we could go for breakfast. Additional note - this hotel is on a busy road with a LOT of traffic noise. I don't blame them for the location issues, but be aware that you won't get much sleep with 18-wheelers going by right outside all night. We will NEVER stay there again.

Reviewed By timmE9893ESMy experience at Fairfield Inn of Mahwah was very good. Crystal was very helpful. She knew I wanted a refrigerator and she made sure I got it. Crystal also knew that I loved Frosted Flakes and she provided me with a bag for my whole stay. The staff was very helpful. They were very nice. Every Monday I asked for room service and it was done. The breakfast was great and complimentary but I would love some toast. I have booked my next stay already. Not to mention The restaurant next door (The Mason Jar) is amazing. The State Line Diner about 5 minutes away is a must go too. It was a wonderful stay.

Reviewed By DBV1The restaurant next door has live cover bands (not particularly good ones) apparently every Friday and Saturday night doing live concerts outdoors mere feet away in the adjacent parking lot. If there is a chance that you’ll be in the room from 8pm to midnight, avoid at all costs.

Reviewed By babalootieFor those who like baths, this is what you'll see. Also the sole selection of frozen dinner will cost $7. There are no neighborhood restaurants, but the front desk will provide you a Chinese menu and pizza menu. I did not opt in.
