Reviewed By JazzCat2095Hotel is clean. New room layout is an open floor plan. A blessing and a curse. I like the new sofa and mini kitchen. Mattress and pillows are very comfortable. Don't like that there is no door to the bathroom except for the toilet which is in a tiny closet. Unless you are staying with someone you are comfortable showering in front of, you may want to think twice about this room.

Good staff.. NO hot water
Reviewed By dartootThe front desk was very efficient and friendly. Motel is not in the best neighborhood. Wouldn't feel safe outside after dark, Motel itself seems secure. Room was very clean. Needed to ask for a shower curtain? It was brought up and my husband put it on..no big deal it just snapped over shower rod. Biggest complaint is that there wasn't any hot water either in the evening or the morning. I called the front desk in the evening and was told that the water heater is iffy, may heat up later? Lukewarm showers in the evening and also in the morning. We didn't check out early as we were hoping to have hot water for a morning shower. No such luck. This is something that was a known problem and management or the owner just doesn't care. Too many other places to stay that have hot water and only cost a bit more.

No issues until day of check-out
Reviewed By Connector55010818384The room was fine, we were on the 2nd floor at the very end so did not hear any noise of other guests. Room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom area was a disappointment. Just too cramped. Everything was fine until I was packing up to check out and I went to the window to shut off the AC and noticed a Carpenter ant climbing up the inside of the shear curtain. Upon closer inspection, there were many ants, of all sizes and they were definitely Carpenter ants as they had wings and were starting to fly into the bedroom area. Needless to say, we packed up a lot faster than normal and I informed the Front desk of the issue. There was no sign of ants during the 2 day stay until that last morning.

They would not honor my AARP discount and being on a fixed income I had budgeted so much money Shame on you Holiday Inn We were not told this on booking. And we had to pay to park - no option added to bill

Friendly and clean

I did not have any issues with the room, the bed was comfortable and it was very nice to have extra plugs by the bed and on the lamp stand. The staff was very friendly, sharing their favorite food places and saying hello. They offered waffles, coffee, juice and fruit which I thought was nice because most places no longer serve food. I felt safe walking through the parking lot late at night, also, which is huge for me. It was a good experience and I will stay there again when I'm in town.

Reviewed By KarininILI stayed at this property while in town to watch my son play hockey at the Cambria arena and while it’s a very convenient location, I was charged $300 as a pet cleaning fee for my support dog. I was taken back by this because we stayed at the same property on 2 other occasions with our dog with no incident and we left the room with no damage/dirt etc. When I questioned the charge I was told they do not recognize support dogs as service dogs. I was not told this at check in or I would have stayed elsewhere. 3 calls to the General Manager were never returned. I finally talked to her and was told the charges were listed on the back of the parking permit (along with a $500 cleaning fee if you smoke!). So unprofessional to just put this charge through without discussing it and disappointing that this hotel doesn’t recognize support animals and so many other hotels do.
