Very clean and reasonable rates
Reviewed By Sharon HWe had a very comfortable stay, very pleased to see how clean all the areas were from the rooms, hallways, pool etc. Staff were very nice and welcoming and attentive, Noise level was near zero, slept very well, and we were on the ground floor, The young man who made our reservation thought it would be easier on us to put us on the lower level because we had kids, he was correct. Just totally satisfied!!

Extremely disappointed
Reviewed By normak932We stayed ta the Hampton Inn in Hilliard on the nights of May 20, 21 and 22, 2022. When we checked in, we were not told that our rooms would not be cleaned during our stay. The hallway rug on our floor had scattered food particles and other debris on it for the duration of our stay there. The light was out in our shower and toilet room. With the door closed, the room was pitch black, creating a safety hazard. On the first day we were told by the desk clerk that nothing could be done about this problem because there was no maintenance person available. We were offered no apology. For the whole three-night stay, the light remained unrepaired. On the second day, when we asked why this was happening and why we couldn’t get our room cleaned or at least new towels, we were actually told by the desk clerk, “Hilton has changed its standards.” No further apology or explanation was offered. On the first morning of our stay, the breakfast waitress told us that they had run out of food. There was no milk, fruit, eggs. Accidents of misordering or unforeseen delivery problems can happen, but along with all the other compounded examples of mismanagement, it was obvious that our contract for services at the Hilton/Hampton Inn was invalidated. As we left the hotel, we saw a notice on the desk that the hotel indeed would not offer the customary services advertised. The was certainly verified by our shocking treatment at this establishment. We stay at Hampton Inn frequently when travelling because we have received a consistent level of service. No more. The front desk personnel were friendly enough, but they could do nothing about the management.

No frills at its finest
Reviewed By jpeter4798This was no frills at its finest. We had a power failure at our home during a heat wave and needed a cool place to sleep. Tried the Hampton next door, but they had no vacancies. The registrar recommended the Avid and said it was a little cheaper. The room was spotless. We had two king beds that were quite comfortable. The TV was a 55” and the hotel’s channels had what we wanted. The room had a small fridge and a microwave. The HVAC quietly maintained the selected temperature. The breakfast was prepackaged items including cereal, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches. Avid gave us good value.
