We are based in the outskirts of Bessines sur Gartempe, 34 km away from Limoges. We have 11 rooms including double and triple accommodations, each with an ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is served in the dining room. Our restaurant features a beautiful patio with view over the park. 3 dining rooms have a seating capacity of sixty. Our fine dining restaurant serves a delicious homemade food made with fresh French products.

Reviewed By MrPaul007Henry IV would be hugely disappointed if he was to visit this magnificent former hunting lodge today. We caught sight of the fabulous looking hotel restaurant as we were passing through and decided to call in for a drink. It looked open. Glasses and meal settings on the tables outside and inside. It was Early evening Friday. We went in and up to the reception. No one to be found - staff or guests. A member of staff then came out from the shadows to inform us, in a sullen manner, that the fully stocked bar was closed. Such a shame. I do hope the hotel is still up for sale and that the new owners come in and make this the lovely and welcoming hotel restaurant it deserves. A future gem!

Wonderful stay
Reviewed By JaapDWe spent one night on the way to the south. Beautiful and original Chateau with large and comfortable rooms. We also booked dinner at the Chateau which was simple but yet very tasty. The lady owner is very friendly and service minded. Location very close to the A20 highway and there is a gasstation nearby. We highly recommend Chateau Constant!

Old fashioned logis with good food
Reviewed By STN1952Greeted by a lovely lady on reception and directed to car park just up the road. Room proved to be small but adequate and air con worked well as did double glazing which kept noise down from fairly busy road. The meal in the evening was delicious in lovely surroundings, and service excellent. Obviously locals come in to eat which is always a good sign. The only downside was that given the age of the hotel, the sound-proofing from the restaurant and adjacent rooms was obtrusive both at night and early morning so take ear plugs. The local village and area is interesting, well worth a visit.

Reviewed By Joanna MStayed here for 4 nights with my uncle, rooms all clean, food incredibly reasonable and very good. Happy to cater for what you want. John & Wendy were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble! Gave me a key so I could let myself out for an early run around the lac! Will be returning.
