San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

Rejuvenate in One of the Most Spectacular Natural Settings in the World It can be difficult to find a vacation destination that offers all the luxuries of home. What if there was a southern California B & B that offered the comforts you want in a vacation destination? Scripps Inn, our La Jolla Bed and Breakfast Inn offers all the luxuries of home with the added benefit of sunshine, relaxation and the rejuvenation you need from a vacation destination.
Large, nicely decorated room with sofa / table and chairs. Nice to have a shared balcony with communal furniture overlooking the ocean. View was wonderful. Needs some TLC in places particularly bathroom. Easy to hear neighbours Disappointed that although we had purchased bed and breakfast there was no longer any breakfast.

Ann was a wonderful host! The room was adorable. Very spacious, loved the decor. I was cozy and comfortable. Excellent location. Around the corner from lots of restaurants and bars in Hillcrest. My breakfast was hosted by Don. He was delightful and kind. I can't recommend Hillcrest House enough.

Found Hotel San Diego is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel located in downtown Little Italy. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with genuine hospitality and an authentic San Diego experience. We are located in the hip and vibrant neighborhood of Little Italy where you will find some of the local’s favorite restaurants, bars and shops; and within minutes of the San Diego Airport, Convention Center, the World-Famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, Gaslamp Quarter and the San Diego Harbor.
The good: location. Walk easily to several locations. Overall, this place was a let down. Old and unkempt, dirty chair in room. Ceiling fan didn’t work. Coffee maker in room, but no coffee. No bar soap. No cleaning service unless you ask for it. Loud traffic. Loud pot smokers throughout stay and no one at desk to contact. Often no desk staff at all. Have to call a number if you have a problem and often no one answers. Sometimes coffee in lobby, most often not. Would not stay here again.

If you enjoy being around luxurious vintage ambiance, then Old Town San Diego’s Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant, the oldest surviving building in San Diego, is the place where you want to go. Visit us and we will take you back in time with our Victorian style bedrooms and baths, dining and bar, and lounges. Stroll along the hotel’s second-floor veranda or sit by your room’s window to gaze upon the activity in the State Historic Park or the outdoor courtyard. Each hotel room has a private bath and has been elegantly appointed with fine furnishings from the 1870s.
Historic building from early 1800’s. Lots of care in the multiple restorations. Dee, the on site mgr /host is delight and quite informative. The same organization owns two restaurants a VERY short walk away. The hotel is in Old Town with a zillion ( well not quite) shops and food locations nearby. Balcony rooms overlooks scenic areas. Old town trolley is a couple of blocks away. Would stay here again. A true gem!

Bates Motel from the Hitchcock movie almost describes the mood. A rundown place next to a major road with lots of traffic. The rooms look like they have been cleaned weeks ago last time. It did not feel very safe. There was hot water for showers though, free parking and wifi. Restaurants in walking distance.

I attempted to book this hotel for July 2021, with free cancellation until July 17. I canceled on June 4 and was not refunded my deposit. I called Hotels.com (who I had booked with) and they said that I had to contact the hotel directly (I would absolutely not recommend booking with hotels.com because their wait times are waaay too long and they are no help). I contacted the hotel numerous times-they are run by a company called the "Coastal Hospitality Group." They are almost impossible to get ahold of, and they NEVER call back. I eventually spoke to the "CEO", Tony Tarr, and he said that my refund could not be processed to the card because it happened too long ago, EVEN THOUGH IT IS WITHIN THE CANCELLATION PERIOD. After WEEKS of frustrating phone tag, he said they would have to get checks and write me a check, but they DID NOT. It has been almost a MONTH of me attempting to get this resolved, but the company is NO HELP! They told me I should just file a dispute with the bank. The handling of this whole issue has been extremely unprofessional and I will NEVER use hotels.com or a hotel managed by the Coastal Hospitality Group again. Save yourself the hassle and DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL!!
