We decided to give this restaurant a try since it was a late entry in the Carroll County Restaurant Week promotion. The restaurant is in the Links at Challedon golf course's club house and is open to the public. It is a casual dining experience with an excellent view of the golf course. There is outside seating on a large patio as well. There is a small, full-service bar inside the restaurant. The restaurant-week menu allowed you to select an appetizer, main course and dessert for one price. The selections were quite good. I had the cream of crab soup, salmon with rice and asparagus, and cheesecake. My wife had the beet and goat cheese salad, salmon, and chocolate cake. All parts of our meals were very good and prepared just right. Our server was friendly and attentive and service was prompt. Our decision to try this out was worth the visit.

We were looking for something very casual after dropping off some furniture in Mount Airy and we choose the Upper Deck. It is a bit "divey" which is exactly what we were looking for. The inside is open and light but very very noisy, the wood floors and open ceilings along with a good crowd enjoying their Saturday night will do that. Wait staff was very pleasant and made sure things were attended to. The only complaint was upon leaving there is smoking on the outside deck and most seemed to congregate by the door. Inside no smoking no issues. We ordered our food and drinks and it all came out in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a burger with fries. Our table also had quesadilla with beef, snow crab legs and a side of onion rings. The beer if you go domestic like Budweiser is dirt cheap also. The burger was very good though the roll was a little small for it. Fries were great as were the onion rings. The quesadilla was a little greasy but tasted great and the big surprise was the snow crab legs, three bundles cooked perfectly. Who would have thought in Mount Airy? The entire bill including one beer and four margaritas came to $72 without tip. I was very pleased with the entire experience.

Agree with the Tripadvisor community that this place performs overall average. Given this type of place, it brings in locals, families, and couples. Do not set your expectations too high and you will not be too disappointed. The food is mainly comfort food, yet there are ways to make comfort food tasty from the ingredients to tasty in the way it was prepared. In my opinion, the food has room for improvement in less oil and batter on the friend items.Waiting up to 15 minutes for seating is the limit based on choices around town and nearby. If you need to wait longer, then it's a coin toss.Being average gives room for improvement and if this place could tweak service, food, and atmosphere, it may become an 'A' for a different reason.-Paperman

The restaurant is nearly hidden as the parking lot isn't user friendly for patrons. They have a busy noisy bar on one side and a nondescript restaurant with a few tables and a place to pick up carry out. We ordered drinks and in looking at the menu, there seems to be more seafood than other selections but they did offer ribs. The first time I came, I ordered the ribs with chicken with a salad and baked potato. My husband ordered the crab macaroni and cheese. Lately, I've been going to BBQ places for ribs they just never seem to get it right on how long to slow cook them or they come out burned.....BUT I was surprised. The meat was slow-cooked to perfection and falling off the bone. The seasoning and sauce enhanced the ribs instead of cloaking their flavor. The chicken breast was a little sad as it was obviously frozen and compact more for use on a sandwich. It would have been wonderful to see a real piece of breast with bones! The second time I came I ordered the ribs again to make sure I wasn't dreaming my experience. But again, they came out as beautiful as they did the first time. With this meal I did order coleslaw and it came to the table warm. I let the waitress know because I just didn't want to get sick. The second batch came out cold but carrots were browning and it just tasted a little flat to me. Adding vinegar would have brightened the flavor. Fries were good, too. My husband had the crab macaroni and cheese. We both brought home our leftovers to enjoy all over again.

When we pulled up to this restaurant, I was very underwhelmed. I was told that it used to be a "biker bar." (I'm not sure if that is true). It's not elegant, to say the least. It was Christmas eve and the restaurant was busy and very lively with families and couples. The adjoining bar looked busy, too. The menu is eclectic, to say the least. There are several pages of diner type entrees and one page of Thai dishes. We started with 2 dozen raw oysters; awesome. Then, we had some Thai appetizers and each of us had a different main dish. Everyone loved their food. Service was very accommodating and friendly. I can't wait to visit my sister again for a return to this hot spot.

Way to much very good food for the price. The Amazing French Toast was aptly named! Though we did not partake they do have Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's. The Omelette was perfectly fluffy. Coffee my only complaint! ask for a fresh pot!! Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review, Lauren. Great to hear you enjoyed your meals! We appreciate the feedback and will make efforts to make sure the coffee is fresher in the future. Hope to serve you again soon.

Located off Rt. 144 in Mt. Airy, MD, this comfortably quaint restaurant is fine for both small intimate meals as well are medium-sized gatherings. Very nice Wait staff, nice décor (when you make your reservations for 2-4, ask to sit by the fireplace), and delicious well-priced food. I'm not a seafood person, but if you are, they have a LOT to select from, in all categories (appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, etc.). For dessert, try their chocolate-chip walnut pie or apple-oatmeal crisp. They also have a children's menu, or you can just sit back, relax, and have cocktails. Easy to get to, easy to park (go early, this place is popular for a good reason -- so make reservations). I did not check out the bathroom, so I don't know how wheelchair accessible it is (I'm in a wheelchair, can park there, get inside, and sit comfortably). Have also taken friends, this place has a nice laid-back feel but in a classier setting...I like that. Good food served at good prices by good servers. NICE! Enjoy! :-D
