Your order at the counter and seat yourself on metal chairs. Food is served in takeout containers and you clear the table yourself. The garbage can, however, was full. The menu has no explanations of dishes. Kosher Chinese food is a solid B or B. I used. Could have been better with better presentation.Do not use the bathroom or sink if you can help it, not pretty.

Stir-fry restaurant where you can create-your-own bowl from a selection of over 80 fresh ingredients.
Well, since you create it, if it doesnât taste good, then itâs your fault, LOL!This was one of my sisterâs familyâs favorite places to eat and is excellent.I ate here with some extended family in the late afternoon on Friday, 8 February, and again with my wife and other extended family members on Monday, February 16, at about 6:45pm. It was busy the first time and very busy the second time. The waitress brought some bowls and asked what we would like, whether to order something specific or to do 1 grill ârunâ or do unlimited runs, and whether we wanted white, brown and fried rices and/or tortillas, which are free with the make-your-own grilled meals except for the fried rice. So you fill your medium size bowl first with meats and fish, then with either a stir-fry noodle or rotini pasta if you like, then a huge choice of vegetables and other add-ons, then a huge choice of sauces, and then lastly some spices. The large selection of sauces is really great. Be careful not to get carried away with spices which is easy to do. NOTE-1: Before putting stuff in your bowl, scout out all of the food options or your bowl may be filled before you are finished, which happened to me the first time. NOTE-2: Once you fill your bowl up to the rim, pile sturdy items around the rim that wonât give easily, which I noted that two woman waiting at the grill had done on my first time. The first time, I filled my bowl loosely to 3 inches over the rim. The second time, I filled my bowl more thickly to 4 inches over the rim, though still not as thick as the two woman proâs had done. I got to the grill at 6:55pm and waited until 6:58 before my food was added to the grill. My food finished cooking at 7:05. Thankfully, I had the presence of mind to take pictures the second time. The Mango Madness drink was delicious. The manager, who was very pleasant, came by on both occasions to ask us how the food was and how we were doing, which is probably why we did not have anything negative to tell him. I highly recommend this restaurant for itâs great food and also as something you just have to try at least once.

This took us a while to find. We wanted something above a take-a-way place. This restaurant has linen tablecloths and has a classy ambiance. Just what we had hoped for. Wide range of food choices. Food is authentic, well prepared and service is always very pleasant. Full bar service and good wine list.

If you are tired of mystery brown sauces that taste alike, then definitely try this place out. Excellent shredded pork with garlic sauce...but must order the Chinese version. It has by far the most authentic Chinese food in East Cleveland. The restaurant is very clean but quite small. Service is good. Definitely will be coming back again and again.

Ho Wah, located in the lower level of LaPlace, has been a Beachwood landmark since 1979. Ho Wah offers Chinese American cuisine.
for decades, I've bypassed this restaurant just because I do not regularly shop at La Place. I've been sorely disappointed in the surrounding Chinese restaurants and thought I would give this place a shot. I wish I had come here earlier and save myself several disappointments from other Chinese restaurants, Everything was excellent and quality I wanted in a Chinese restaurant. This is now my go to place for local Chinese food.

There is an edge of quiet mystery on entering this place with the restaurant blocked from view in the entry way...it was quiet. The host staff was quickly present, opened the door and led me to the dining room to the left, which on this particular day was not too busy and was quiet, a pleasant surprise. Each table was immaculate, perfectly set with utensils, white napkins, and bread and butter dishes with a small orchid in the center. Very nice touch to have chairs with a slide out tray for handbags so they can rest beside you instead of on the floor. The single page menu was elegant but annoying in the choice of small print, and even worse was the near microscopic script font chosen to convey pricing. That was the only downside. Our server was very attentive. Soup is $2 but complimentary with an entree. They come by with a basket and ask if you would like one or two rolls...good way to minimize waste. Both shapes apparently the same roll. The pepsi shrimp sounded too tempting to resist a try. Four were presented ($8) on a bed of what appeared some type of zucchini noodles. Taking home the remaining shrimp the noodles were not included, but probably would have made the shrimp soggy. Entree of ginger/soy salmon was accompanied with 5 or 6 supersized sweet potato fries in a light tempura batter and a pile of bitesize cauliflower and other veggies also in a light tempura batter. Beautifully presented. Others enjoyed their entrees which looked equally tempting. There was no dessert menu. We had creme brulee, 7 layer (chocolate) cake, and a scoop of coconut ice cream. All were delicious and garnished with a small diced mixed fruit garnish, and spun sugar trim. My only other issue was on departing I asked for a take-out menu and none was available...I was handed a card with the website and told one could see it on their phone. Except not all of us have smart phones believe it or not. Only other issue is parking, but on this Saturday there was a special event also going on, so that might have been a factor. Not so nice in unpleasant weather, but there is some valet parking available. Looking forward to going back.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Thai restaurant in the Cleveland area. It is a Thai family restaurant excellent food and service. The wait staff was very attentive without being overbearing. The house wine was very good. I ordered the basil seafood stir fry. The portion was large with lots of seafood and fresh herbs. The prices were very reasonable including the wine for the quality. I will definitely return the next time I am in the area.
