Visited Miller's Ale house in Rego Park to have dinner and catch up with an old acquaintance. Parking was in a pay lot across the street. The restaurant was quiet on a early Monday evening. There was music playing and sport on the televisions, but not loud enough to distract from conversation. We were presented with a menu and beer list. Sadly the beer list was not kept up to date and it took several tries to find a local beer to drink, as beers seem to come on and off tap frequently. The server had to make several trips back and forth to the bar to check. The beer that we had was served well and tasted decent.I had ordered the Zingers salad with the Mt. St. Helens sauce. The salad was excellent, though the sauce was not as hot as expected. It was abundant and I could not finish it all. Would visit again.Hi there, Bergholz. We apologize that you did not have a great experience at our House. We hope you will consider sending your feedback and your contact info to us via our website: www.millersalehouse.com/contact-us/ so that we can reach out to you directly, we certainly know we can do better and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

been meaning to try this place again after several years, and finally made it. We remembered our original Impressions were good when we first visited. While the bread was tasty again, freshly based with a nice dipping sauce, the rest of the food was uninspiring. While my wife thought are fish dishes were Bland, I would just say that they could have used some additional herbs and spices. This time we tried the sea trout and the flounder. The waiter to his credit warned us that the flounder would not be very meaty and that was quite true. The sea trout was the better of the two dishes. Service was otherwise quite good.

I like old fashioned NY Style Pizza - with a thin crust that's soft & chewy - wet with spicy tomato sauce & mozzarella: with simple add ons: sausage, onions, mushrooms & pepperoni. I hate the the newly chic, micro thin crust pizza with a smidgeon of plain sauce made from crushed tomatoes only; baked to imitate bone dry Swedish Crisp bread - covered in exotic vegetables that never grew in Italy. I also hate the flavored bread that's Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza. So I was happy to discover the newly opened Numero 28. Yes its a thin crust pie cooked in the ubiquitous wood fire domed clay oven, but the crust is not charred into charcoal: it remains soft, moist and chewy and the sauce was wonderfully seasoned - flavorful with herbs & spices. The $17 individual pie is served on a 12" flat stone, the $34 couple's pie is 8" x 24" served on a wood platter. Beers are only $5.I was disappointed in the Chocolate Cake as it was rather dry. And the Mixta Salad came with a cloyingly sweet dressing on the side; I suggest you taste it first and then send it back for a simple wine & vinegar.

We usually order the ravioli. Cheese is our favorite. Portions are wonderful tasting and very filling. Salads are fresh and crispy and nice sized. Dressings are fresh tasting. Homemade bread is hearty and delicious. Staff is most friendly and attentive. Prices are very good. Going to try their cauliflower crust pizza next time. This place is so clean and kept one would think it is brand new but it is a well established place. When he can, the chef comes out front and checks on every table. Casual dress. This is a 5 STAR Restaurant

We went here for a family occasion. There was a large party that produced nonstop shouting and screaming that seemed ever louder because of the reflective surfaces in the restaurant. When we asked the manager to do something, he shrugged his shoulders and said he could not do anything. As a result, what was supposed to be a nice family party was spoiled. We will never go there again.

Saturday. Arrived at tail end of brunch. All good until shift change and our waitress disappeared (around 4p on a Saturday). At this point we became invisible. Food was good. Bus service was good. Waitress service gets failing grade. Its really hard for me to not want to leave a tip. This day warranted it. (We still left 15% and that was way generous). Owner was there and he too was oblivious to the problem. (I hope he reads this post.) We were really dumbfounded. Brunch over at 330. Recommend not arriving between 3-330. After or before should avoid the problem we had.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our friend’s 80th birthday. Although we traveled a distance to eat here because we wanted a special dinner, our waiter seemed uninterested in serving us. A simple request for an extra glass was met with the response: it’ll be a few minutes. Really? The bar was a few feet away. When we told him that we were ready to order, he told us he would take it in a few minutes. This was how the whole lunch went. My request for no garlic was not heeded and was sick all evening. He even forgot to put a candle on the birthday girl’s dessert even though he was told. This is not a cheap restaurant - the bill was about $50 per person for lunch. Unfortunately the tip was automatically added, otherwise I would have left far less. There was no need to please us when you know you are getting 18% of the bill. We will never go here again! He truly spoiled the day for everyone, but especially the birthday celebrant.
