El Rayo is our favorite place to go for a laid back night out. No need to dress up or worry about reservations. El Rayo is not fancy but weâve always had good service, good food and great margaritas. My favorite is the Pollo Azteca and my husband loves the sizzling hot fajitas. We always end up with leftovers to take home. During the summer we often avoid the crowds and traffic woes of Gahanna Creekside events by starting out at El Rayo for dinner and walking less than a half mile to the festivals and concerts. Definitely recommend El Rayo!

We had a great meal here!! Free chips with every burrito or bowl!! Plus the different salsas to choose from was a big plus, everything from very mild to Carolina Reaper salsa (love the spicy salsa!!). You can request different kinds of meat and whatever toppings you like. If you like Mexican food it's worth a shot to try! We'll be back.

Tuck in a shopping complex, this place cooks up some good Mexican food. Portion sizes of your meal exceeds what you are paying for. Tried the Burro Grande with Carnitas. Meat seasoned well, and with the addition of guacamole on the side, it's an excellent dish. Reasonable price at 13.99. Also, kid's meal are large and big enough for a second meal at home as leftovers. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great Mexican meal.

My wife and I had dinner here - she had a chimichanga and I a burrito. Both were large and well prepared. We both enjoyed the meal and the prices are quite reasonable. Service was decent, although we had a couple of different servers for some reason. We would definitely stop here again if nearby. Hard to beat combination of food and price. décor is a matter of personal taste - I felt they were trying a bit too hard for a unique look.

We have eaten here twice and were not disappointed! The food is delicious and the servings are large! My daughter and I both ordered a quesedilla and they were the size of the large plate! The service is good and prices are reasonable.

Really good food in a funky atmosphere. There were a few rooms separating a lot of people. It did get rather loud but thatâs to be expected. I must complain about one thing. Two of our group of four arrived early and told the two hostesses that we were waiting for two others. The two others got there a few minutes latter telling the hostesses the same thing, they were meeting two other ladies. About 20 minutes later we were calling each other to find they had sat us in different rooms.

I came here with my daughter for dinner. There was a big party going on in the side room, but service was still efficient and the prices quite reasonable. The restaurant reminded me of the old TV Show "Cheers." The servers seem to know a lot of the diners, and the employees look like they may all be family. It just adds up to a friendly environment, relaxing. The food was not spectacular, but very good, and the portions were large. We ended up taking home leftovers. Great location, so we'll be back.
