We ate there on a business trip.The restaurant is very centrally located in the Herne town center. There is plenty of parking around the restaurant.The restaurantâs interior is very nice, but we chose to sit outside.The menu is typically Italian, including pizza, and all sounded nice. I took the carpaccio and then tortellini, all was very nice.I chose an extremely nice grappa to finish with.The price was very agreeable as well. Definitely a place to go when you are in town!

We happened upon this place while in Bochum overnight for business. Luckily we searched for a restaurant early as later it became very busy as it is popular for very good reasons. The management asked if we'd mind taking a table and finishing within two hours as it was reserved for later. This was no problem at all as orders were taken and food arrived very quickly with attentive service and good advice about the menu options. Ordered just one glass of local red wine each and it was lovely too. A delightful meal. No wonder this place is popular.

A gem of a find with a wonderful outdoor deck. The owner had recently been boar hunting and made a fabulous ragu to compliment some homemade pasta. The wine selection is wonderful and the pizza totally yummy. The service super friendly. A must stop if you are going to the Starlight Theatre

We have eaten here several times. As Spaniofiles we are about 4 times a year in Spain wher the Tapas can be fantastic.We found the Albondigas to be nice and spicy, obviously home made. Sepia a la Plancha well done and soft. Catalan toasteb bread with Tomatoes and Serano ham were more like a Brouschetta but nice all the same. A heavy house red wine completed the picture.The service is not the most professional though.We will return again.

Das Riad liegt sehr schön, der groÃe Biergarten ist direkt am Kanal. Ich denke, dass sich hier im Sommer auch der eine oder andere Radfahrer zu einem Päuschen verleiten lässt. Im Innenbereich haben wir einen orientalisch eingerichteten Raum gesehen, den Thekenbereich sowie einen "normalen" Restaurantraum, in dem wir auch gegessen haben. Dieser Raum hat sehr hohe Decken und ist ziemlich groÃ. Da war es für uns schon etwas merkwürdig als einzige Gäste (an einem Wochentag) dort zu sitzen, gemütlich ist dann doch anders. Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber, als kleines Highlight kann man beim Händewaschen TV schauen. Das braucht eigentlich kein Mensch, ist aber ganz lustig. Die Speisekarte ist dreigeteilt. Es gibt marokkanische Spezialitäten, internationale Küche und die Steakkarte. Im Gastraum kann man auch den groÃen Reifeschrank mitsamt eingelagertem Rindfleisch bewundern.Wir hatten das zweifelhafte "Glück" an einen hyperkommunikativen Kellner zu geraten. Die Erklärung der Speisekarte für uns Anfänger war o.k., das ausschweifende Beantworten von Fragen ist wohl angeboren, aber sich ungefragt in Gespräche der Gäste einzumischen und seinen Senf dazuzugeben, ist nicht mehr in Ordnung. Wir hatten am Ende des Abends das Gefühl seine ganze Familie nebst Freunden zu kennen. Wenn mehr Gäste da sind, wird sich sein Mitteilungsbedürfnis sicher mehr in Grenzen halten.Aber nun zur Hauptsache - das Essen. Wir waren zu viert und haben so quer durch die Karte gegessen. Marokkanische Vorspeisen, Suppen, Carpaccio. Im Hauptgang Fisch und Gerichte von der Spargelkarte (2x mit Steak, 1x mit Lachs), da sich die Saison zum Ende neigte und wir unbedingt noch mal Spargel essen wollten. Ach ja, verschiedene Desserts haben wir auch noch probiert. Alle Gerichte waren gut zubereitet und schmackhaft, unsere Männer schauten nach dem Hauptgang aber noch ein wenig hungrig aus der Wäsche. Insgesamt kann man das Riad bedingt empfehlen, allerdings sind die Preise schon im höheren Segment angesiedelt. Es ist also nicht das Restaurant für jeden Tag, für den besonderen Anlass haben mich die Speisen aber leider nicht überzeugt. Wir sind noch darauf aufmerksam gemacht worden, dass immer wieder spezielle Events stattfinden. Da muss man sich auf der Homepage schlau machen.

Hallo! Wer hier lecker und mal zwischendurch Essen möchte is hier genau richtig. Speziell griechische Speisen kann man nur empfehlen. Auch andere Speisen sind natürlich gut.
