Stayed here solo for a week. Really fantastic breakfast, super friendly staff, located in a charming and lively village, with tons to do in the village and surrounding area. Lots of great beaches, surf spots, excellent bars and restaurants. A perfect base to enjoy and explore the NW of Galicia.

GREAT Place - Beware of Barking Dogs

Reviewed By Patrick G

This hotel is off the beaten path in Galicia - a nice change from our trip to this point. Finding it was relatively easy after having book via phone the a couple days in advance. Online was available but called and talked to Raul - who was VERY accommodating and helpful. Place is a restored schoolhouse - very well done in terms of the the stone style, room features and amenities. Our room was on the top floor (of four I think) and the good news is in the hotel update, they added an elevator. The parking is still gravel so maybe 20 yards or so of lifting bags is good if you want to keep your wheels intact. Price was very reasonable - 125 Euros for room with a large bed, sofa and including breakfast. Everything at breakfast was incredibly fresh - the coffee, orange juice, fruit, bread, ham/cheese. Raul was a great 'host' throughout our stay. He gave a couple recommendations for food - the fish place on night 1 was better than expected and the sightseeing recommendations gave us a good idea of what to see in Galicia. Overall - a good stay...except given that we were in a relatively rural setting, it seems that everyone owns a dog. Apparently, every dog owner is immune from the sound of their barking dog. Unfortunately, my wife and I aren't real sound sleepers so it was problematic on both nights of our stay. At one point, I contemplated going outside to determine where they were - it sounded like they dogs were everywhere. Turns out they were - heard them in the AM the day we left. Clearly, this is not the hotel's fault but might be a good idea to chat with the neighbors to see if they can get some help on this point. If not - and you're a light sleeper, might be something to consider.

A jewel in Galicië

The house is very nice. There is 1 apartment on the ground floor and 1 room for 2 persons on the ground floor with your own entry. You can use also the livingroom to sit or to watch tv. Also you can have breakfast there or other meals when you ask the owners. On the first floor are rooms for 2 or 4 persons. With terrace or balcony. In the beautiful garden you can sit at several spots. A car is required, it take about 10 min. To Ortigueira. In the arena are beautiful beaches. Lots to see. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Good sized room

Reviewed By MagElise

We drove by desperately in need of a room and although the building is not the prettiest we thought to give it a try. We stayed in room 104 which was oddly shaped but of a good size with good working wifi and Tv. The bathroom was a bit small though but shower working great with good hot water supply. The acoustics ... not that great but fortunately people staying were pretty considerate.. This room had a side window looking at the garden and the building itself. It suited us just for the one night. We were traveling by car, town is a bit further down the road.

Awesome location and house but no wifi

Reviewed By 996cintial

Super cool and pretty house and a very quiet location, ideal to relax. The rooms are squeaky clean. However there is no wifi and no tv in the room... So I don't recommend it unless you want to be fully disconnected. The breakfast is very poor- but the coffee is very tasty. Lovely pool and awesome propriety cat! We were allowed to check in early which was pretty convenient.

Muinos de Pontenoval

De cuento.

Reviewed By yanina_14
