Reviewed By 213lauriezWe unfortunately were unable to attend our son’s graduation in McCall due to COVID in our family. Something sudden that did not meet the 7 day cancellation window. We we tried to call and cancel the reservation 2 days ahead the suddenly the hotel put through a charge through a day and a half ahead of our planned arrival. Interesting how that happened…but not surprising based on their lack of compassion for our situation. Book at your own risk.

A Quiet rustic place to stay up in the mountains of McCall Idaho. Each room has a unique outdoor theme. Near ski resorts, hiking, fishing, water sking and gift shops. Something here for everyone.
Great stopover
Reviewed By RonCentralCASpartan lightly chic. Recently remodeled bright soft white room with blond / bleached wood and black accents. Room 101, towards the rear of the lot isquietest, but the room slopes a bit to the front such that the shower door needs to be wedged with a towel to keep it closed whilst in the shower (the only negative). Walk to restaurants, the lake and shopping. It even snowed in early May.

Reviewed By jlmo10Booked 3 nights on a third-party site but was really hoping to add the night prior that wasn’t available. Emailed the property and got a response in less than 10 minutes to call the front desk. Alice found an available room, booked us for the prior night and moved the rest of our reservation to that room type so we didn’t have to change rooms during our stay. Their generous cancellation policy allowed me to cancel the extra night on the third-party site so we got the exact trip we wanted! Excellent!

Idaho Scenic Byway Central!
Reviewed By jetslyMcCall is an upscale resort community, and the HIE is located on the outskirts of town. For us, it was the overnight stay on a leisurely trip along 5 of Idaho's fabulous scenic byways that started at Missoula, MT and ended 35 miles north of Salmon, ID. The hotel was so close to the highway that early morning road noise woke us before the alarm went off, but thankfully, the road was virtually deserted during the wee small hours. The room itself was fine, with a good bed and those wonderful IHG pillows. We skipped the breakfast fare, but put the indoor pool and hot tub to good use. By the way, the hot tub was far and away the largest that we have ever seen inside a hotel. Look around for a copy of the Idaho Official Travel Guide. It is an invaluable resource, which inspired us to follow the Lochsa River via the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway (US 12), and the Payette via the Payette River and Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byways (ID 55). The scenery throughout is dazzling, and the whitewater rafting opportunities first class.

Brundage bungalow-grey goose
Reviewed By 756deliahMy boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was cute and mostly clean (I say mostly because our socks captured some hairs that seemed to be dog hairs). We would have enjoyed it more if we had slept comfortable. Our mattress was VERY uncomfortable. I would say it was an older mattress because it was obviously more worn on one side then the other. As if that was the side mostly used. My boyfriend ended up having to sleep on the couch so I could sleep on the lower side, so I wouldn’t feel somewhat lopsided while sleeping and could be more comfortable. When I replied to the email from the manager asking how our stay was, I explained this to him. He came off as being offended and upset with me about my response, saying they had “just spent $30k on new mattresses” the previous month and that you “can’t find a bed that works for everyone”. I feel IF this was true, they were not quality mattresses due to it being so worn in just one month. Unfortunately I will not stay there again due to his response and our uncomfortable sleeping conditions.
