Reviewed By ellenrC9910DXWe were going to an event in So Chicago, so this location was ideal for us. Unlike other reviewers, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a little smaller but clean, comfortable, and very quiet. We did not need use the internet on this visit. Breakfast was the usual selections and quite good. I would like to see the addition of grab bars in the tub area.

Misses the mark
Reviewed By mg4514I was traveling alone for one night. I always choose a Holiday Inn because you know what you’re gonna get. Not so fast…some of this might be beyond their control, but the weary traveler should know this before booking. 1. The surrounding area is a toilet. It’s run down, and the people are not friendly. 2. No complimentary breakfast. 3. The clientele checking in were sketchy, and the halls were filled the unmistakable smoky, skunky, stench of weed. 4. Some updating of the rooms and lobby is overdue. On the flip side. The employees were nice and friendly, and the bar inside the hotel was fully stocked, had great food specials and happy hours, and had a great vibe. All in all however…pass this one up, and check in the Mokena Holiday Inn 8 miles up the road.

Reviewed By Deanna1126I found a roach in my room crawling down the bathroom wall . Also I had mold on my shower curtain on both sides and the refrigerator smelled like spoiled meat . The Custom service was really rude once I politely asked for my money back or a discount . Later he called the police on me because I asked for a shower curtain and he raised his hands at me so I held my finger up and told him to go get a shower curtain I wasn’t about to argue with you .

I pulled the blanket back & there was condoms/needles with the top off/nut all on the head boards & bed/still running down. I had to carefully dispose of them my self. Then there was throw up all over & in the sink, the shower was horrific golden brown yellow but was suppose to be white, there was rotten food & trash under the beds. Walls was just as filthy as the floors. The room smelled so bad I though some one had the runs 3 months ago crapped then left it in the toilet with the toilet seat left up. Management told me there was no refunds & they said they’ll send some one but never did after I paid for the whole week online. I complained every second of the day I was there cause management ignored us & I had to walk 30 minutes each day to someone’s house just to take a shower. Management didn’t care/don’t care! It don’t mater what kind of place u have u are suppose to have good customer service/be honest & fair! this company failed %100 on every level. Oh not to mention lasts ordeal when one of the room caught on fire from faulty wireing there was 3 to 4 fire trucks here. Management did not check on any of their customers that was not in the room that caught fire but I was a totally different section on second floor & smoke from the fire came through our windows thick to the point where we was chocking bad & that’s how we found out about the fire. No staff warned anyone in this place about the fire. Guess they said were not important huh! My daughter could of been stuck by the needle that was in her bed.

Charged Twice. Hotel Unhelpful

I booked through another travel website and after being checked in they call me back down to the desk saying the payment didn’t go through and I was charged twice by the hotel. I noticed this on my credit card statement and when I called the hotel they said they couldn’t find my reservation. After calling the travel website I booked through I was told to call the hotel again where I found out the name on the reservation was nowhere close to my actual name even though I have them my ID at the initial check in and my card when they said the payment didn’t show. And I even asked them will I be charged twice and they told me no. Every time I called the manager wasn’t in even during the times they told me to call. It is now 9 months later and after calling the travel company again to check the status of my claim, they tell me the hotel has not answered any of their calls to rectify the issue. However, the new person handling my case has been tremendously helpful in a 7 minute phone than anybody has been in the past 9 months. I used to like this place but I don’t play about my money. They have incompetent staff working in this hellhole and all the amenities they say they have is a lie.
