He never once acknowledged us, Nor said , sorry I be right with you. Almost a 5 minute wait . Hotel was fine, beds were great, breakfast was hot The best thing was there was no tub, But a step in shower, which was great

OK for a quick overnight, but would not extend
Reviewed By SeniorTravelerTFWe asked for a quiet room and they gave us the room adjacent to the elevator, two doors from the pool and ten yards from the lobby which should tell you something. We got a room change, but because the floors are not carpeted (so cold) you can hear the people walking around in the room above. Basic everything, from bedding to towels to appointments to breakfast. Room did have micro and fridge, but don't plan on staying long enough to use them. Indoor pool postage stamp small and no hot tub. Easy to find off the interstate.

Reviewed By Kathy CI was a single older woman traveling alone. The lobby looked okay, the receptionist could have dressed and acted a little more professional, but I could live with it. So I checked in. I headed to the back side of the building and found their was only 3 cars in the lot. All of them were not in the best shape, one was being worked on by two males. The backside of the buidling was unkept. The inside carpet was old and warn, a few of the rooms had the doors ajar, which led me to believe the people outside were staying there. I did not feel safe at this hotel. I left not even worried about getting my money back. I had items in my car that I was not comfortable leaving out in that lot. Do not stay here

Clean budget-friendly stay
Reviewed By brittb1242Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good continental breakfast. Pool was fun. The one downside I saw was the room curtains—we couldn’t pull the heavy curtains closed so the sheer curtain was the only thing covering the window and we were on the first floor. That was the only thing that made us uncomfortable; everything else was good for the budget-friendly price.

Not Perfect Friendly
Reviewed By jbrett20I will more than likely never stay at Super 8 again. I had a very bad encounter with the hotel clerk over my service dogs. She instructed me to take my dogs back to the room because they were not allowed in the breakfast area. I was standing in the lobby pouring coffee to be taken back to my room. She was rude and condescending. I informed her that it is federally mandated that my service animals are not to be separated from me. I even offered to show my official card but she demanded I take my dogs back to the room and then began bad mouthing me to another guest. I have never been so humiliated. I wish I knew how to report her to your organization. I will be reporting this to the proper authorities. Also, breakfast only consisted of dry cereal and wrapped pastries. Horrible experience!

Reviewed By breianoThis place will steal your money.... stay far away!! Son is an Army vet and prepaid for a week for a total of $360.00. He experienced some mental health issues and called an ambulance on himself while sitting in his car outside of the room. Because he called for help, the General Manager Mike P. advised the police that he was no longer a guest and not welcomed there while he was being treated in the ambulance. Just imagine already experincing a breakdown, and then being told because you personally reached out for help that you can't come back? How is delivering that type of news supposed to help anyone's state of mind that has already reached the breaking point? Once my son was out of the emergency room that night and returned, he was advised to gather his things and was NOT refunded the additional 3 days he already paid for. Spoke with Mike P. early this morning to clarify the decision made to remove my son from the property, and he agreed that my son was not destructive and was a respectful guest while he had been there. The GM's decison to remove him as a guest rested solely on the reason my son called the police on himself, and without even consulting my son first to determine what really happened. Mike COULD NOT direct me to a corporate policy that states he is within the legal right to make this personal decision. Only after I mentioned speaking to corporate did he offer to refund $30.00 at the most for the remainder of his 3 days. I stated that if he had prorated the rate accordingly to the $360.00 already paid, he would be owed a refund of $154.29 and that would be considered fair. He refused. He advised me to call corporate to dispute further, respect his decision, and HUNG UP on me. So now, my son is sleeping in a car for the remainder of the time because he can't afford another room. And that folks, is how military vets are treated at this place. No questions, just a personal decision made by GM who refuses to be understanding and try to evaluate each situation individually. Corporate will be contacted, and I will be updating this review based on my conversation with them, and when the proper refund is issued by the Lincoln, IL Motel 6.
