The receptionist was very helpful but unable to refund our money despite us being there only for 10 minutes before we moved out, apparently this is a common complaint. This is a budget hotel that is not charging budget prices.

Reviewed By RogerD500An old favourite stop off point in France for us, which due to the pandemic we had not visited for some time. A much anticipated visit, it did not disappoint, indeed, it was even better than before. All aspects were superb, from the welcome on arrival, the quality of the room and service, not to mention the excellent food in the gourmet restaurant (the cheeseboard is the best and most generous we have experienced) and at breakfast. All underpinned by a great team of people, all of whom want to make your stay an absolute pleasure and delight, but without being in your face. For us the absolutely perfect hotel on all fronts.

This nice building dates back to the end of the 18th century. It is situated in a park of 8000 square meters and houses 17 cosy rooms. The rooms and the breakfast room have been renovated while keeping the charm of the old mansion. The place is warm and welcoming. As soon as the sun goes out, tables are laid outside for breakfast or a nice drink with friends. The facade is covered in Virginia creepers, reminding visitors that famous Burgundy vineyards are close.

Easily accessible from A6, large private off road car park and choice of restaurants. Staff are friendly, speak good English and put up with our French graciously. The Michelin restaurant is excellent with extensive range of wines, locally sourced seasonal ingredients and good value to boot.

The Best Western Golf Hotel Colvert offers you a very special welcome in calm and relaxing surroundings. Our very spacious rooms (over 25m²) are well-lit and comfortable and equipped with WIFI internet access, telephone, televison and each has its own terrace with garden furniture. There are airconditioned rooms and a locked and monitored garage.

Dishonestly treated by owner
Reviewed By giulietta429We booked this accommodation because we had to travel with our cat and the website stated that pets are accepted. We said when booking that we would have a small cat with us. We booked one of the nicer rooms available and paid over €240 for two nights. (On the property’s website even the most expensive rooms go for less than €120 per night.) The owner replied saying ok, you may bring a cat and I will give you a room with a terrace so ‘the cat would be more comfortable.’ She did not say more about the type of room and we understood that it would be comparable to what we booked (or if not, that the price would be adjusted). The owner also did not mention an animal surcharge. When we arrived, after a long drive from Brussels and in extreme heat, the owner showed us to a terrible, small, very shabby room that is not even on her website. The room was not in the wing where all the ‘real’ rentable rooms are. The toilet was outside. The terrace was blazing hot, impossible to use. The room as well. We asked about a fan and were told that it was not available. There was no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, as was advertised. We asked whether there would be a discount and were told no, either take this or leave. Of course at that point, having driven all day and having an old, diabetic animal with us, leaving to go and try to find something else was not an option. The room was so hot that we could not sleep both nights. The cat also became ill from the heat. It was clear that we were taken advantage of, and stuck in a horrible room that no one else would take even for free. When we left, we were also charged a cat supplement on top of €240. This is completely unfair and dishonest. We chose this property and agreed to pay the price based on the rooms we saw on the website. We understand that the owner can reserve specific rooms for people traveling with animals, and can charge extra for the animal, or charge for any specific damage done by the animal, but the details of the room should have been disclosed upfront. We would have never, ever agreed to pay this price for the terrible small, hot, shabby room that looked a million times worse than the real rooms she rents. In fact we wouldn’t have stayed in this room even for free. It was more complicated by our limited French.

Nous avons restauré cette ancienne grange avec la volonté de préserver l’authenticité du lieu. Les matériaux ont été soigneusement choisis, travaillés. Mélange de pierre et de bois, nos gîtes saurons vous séduire grâce à un harmonieux mélange d’ancien et de moderne. Voici nos 3 appartements : le Nid de l’Hirondelle pour 2 personnes (avec terrasse et jardin) le Grain de Blé pour 4 personnes (avec terrasse et jardin) le Casse Noisette pour 6 personnes au 1er étage (avec terrasse et clim) Ils est possible de louer la totalité des lieux pour un évènement (fête de famille, baptême…). Les enfants sont les bienvenus. Une barrière de sécurité a été prévue pour les escaliers, des équipements bébé sont disponibles sans supplément. Des lits d’appoints peuvent également être ajoutés. Pour chacun des gîtes, vous bénéficiez des services suivants : une présentation des lieux et un accueil personnalisé, le wifi, la télé avec chaines internationales, les lits faits à votre arrivée, le linge de toilette fourni et un parking à votre disposition dans la cour de l’établissement. A proximité du gîte, vous trouverez : une piste cyclable, une aire de jeux pour enfants, un parcours de santé, un golf 18 trous et 4 restaurants.

Comme un avis avant moi..la classification 4 **** n est pas justifiée..beaucoup de trois ? sont aussi bien et moins chers... Choses très bien.. L emplacement pour les golfeurs.. Vue sur le golf au calme avec balcon..
