Reviewed By travenuswThe room was filthy. We checked in but then left right after to go eat when we came back and went to the room for the first time we noticed how dirty the floor was. We then checked the bathroom room which was not clean either I then was like check the bed and it was semen on the bed skirt and the chair. We left immediately and che ked out. We told the clerk why we were leaving and she just apologized and we were told sorry no refund. I will never go there again.

Reviewed By J5675UXkellibThe state of our hotel room was disgusting mold in the creases around the tub, the mini fridge was not clean their were gnats flying around and that is just not acceptable even if I get a friend's and family rate. The smell of the room was just not fresh or clean smelling, the water smelled unusual and we were just not happy at all. Definitely not a hotel we will come back too in the future.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff

They even gave us a great dinner recommendation nearby and made a reservation for us. The room was decent, though the carpet was in need of a cleaning. We had a ground floor room which faced the center courtyard. The only issue we had was that there was a large wedding party staying at the hotel and they decided to have the after-party in the center courtyard area at 2-3 am. Having a ground floor room that opened to the center courtyard meant we were woken up by the noise. Very disconcerting.

Reviewed By 653rustyjWe were traveling from Cincy to Traverse City MI to visit family ... Stayed at this property years ago and it was not a bad hotel ... SOMETHING HAS CHANGED ... THIS PLACE IS THE PITTS ... It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in ... We checked in at 11:30 pm left at 7:20 am ... We got to the room 80 degrees outside, no air conditioner on and it took til 4:30 in the morning to cool the place off ... The ceiling and walls had black soot on them (it was a non-smoking room), the TV did not work, the hand towels had holes in them (one had over 40 small hole in it), hole in the walls, sheets and pillow cases worn out ... Trust me I am being nice holding back not to be mean ... There were homeless people in the parking lot with their belongings in a play pen ... The place was just a run down property that no on has taken care of for some time ... Disgusting --- When we loaded our clothes we took in the room to hang up - going down the road we smelled smoke --- the clothes reeked of smoke and we were only there for 8 hours (we do not smoke) ... clearly NOT THE NORMAL RED ROOF STANDARDS WE HAVE ENJOYED OVER THE YEARS ... PEOPLE --- STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! ...

pot smoke and not clean
Reviewed By sabtebra1134Stayed 6 weeks but left due to the horrible smells from the unit below (pot and some kind of awful scent on top of it). There is a vent system that blows in air from other units, doesn't seem very safe in this COVID time. They turned off the fan, but then smells just seeped in somehow. Had to frequently open sliding window/door and entrance door to change the air. Overall the unit was dirty, floors very dirty and sticky, walls and drawers with years of grime, debris in the sofa, and more I won't bore you with. Complex set of fees and taxes that add a lot to the base price, so be sure you understand all you're being charged for, and ask for a copy of the forms you digitally sign. This place is a cash cow for the investors but appears to operate on a non-existent budget for cleaning.
