Not the Hilton experience we are used to

Reviewed By ChrisS106

We stayed a few nights at this hotel and with it being part of the Hilton chain, we expect a certain standard. The hotel is rather dated, although attractive from the outside. The rooms have high ceilings but seem rather tired. The air conditioner is very noisy and so is the fridge when it comes on in the middle of the night, sounds something like a diesel generator starting up. It certainly wakes you up in the middle of the night. In our room, the window had been broken at some point and rather than being replaced, it’s been taped up which is very poor - given the wealth of the Hilton chain, surely this should be replaced. The net curtains are also ripped and the chord for this is sticky ! Gross considering Covid is still about this isn’t exactly adhering to a high level of cleanliness. Add to the fact it looks like someone left their fingers or toenails behind as a gift for the next people staying. Disgusting. Something odd also is the toilet is incredibly low down, why?! The free breakfast was barely edible and again a complete lack of choice. If we had of paying next to nothing for this stay then you would look past these items and shrugged them off because you paid next to nothing. This hotel however is not cheap and the least they can do is to fix things and clean properly. Photos attached. Up your game Hilton.

Excellent customer service!!!

Charming place next door to the drive-in theater. The VIP suite was spacious and spotless with well thought through decor. The sofa mattress was uncomfortable, but the bed was great. Bar stools at the counter were unsteady, but definitely a great add-on to the ambiance. Customer service was incredible. Seamless check in/check out. Free drive-in theater admission was a pleasant surprise and a must-see. The place is truly 5 star for its class and 10 star for the amount of thought that went into it. However, I found it to be overpriced for the accommodations ( hence the missing star). Thank you for the lovely stay!

Good stay. May 17-10

We checked into the Motel 6 a bit early. Our room was ready so they let us check a bit before 3:00pm. Our room was very nice and immaculate!! We took a quick ride to find parking near Church St. in Burlington. At the most it was about a 12 more minute drive and easy to get to. About 30 minutes after our return to the hotel we got a phone call that an elderly family member had been taken to the hospital. The hotel was very good about not penalizing us for both nights that we were scheduled to stay. I could absolutely understand losing one night charge. The manager and the desk clerk were very understanding about this! Some of the reviews for this hotel were not good and this is not the case. My husband and I are going to rebook our stay for June at this hotel without hesitation!!!

Horrible stay

Reviewed By MagicHwk

Horrible stay. The smoking – cigarettes, pot and vaping - is rampant and out of control here. It’s like a bad frat party 24/7. Including people running up and down the halls at all hours. After getting sick from all the smoke and moving rooms once, we eventually checked out early. when we encountered the same problem only worse on the clear other side of the hotel. I mean the halls, elevators and our rooms were just full of smoke, pot and vape fumes and making us wake up choking. We were working from the room as well, so we were bombarded all day long. Management initially seemed like they may do something about it, but they just didn’t. Eventually we were made to feel like we were the problem. A few asthma attacks later. Wrong answer. The rooms are VERY VERY worn. Some rooms have a shower set up with a partial glass partition that allows water to spray out the one side and saturate the wall and floor outside the shower. So – welcome to mold and water damage central. Clogged bathroom drain, clogged garbage disposal, broken kitchen and bathroom cabinets, pulls and burn marks in the carpets, mold, missing amenities (plates, etc) in the kitchen, filthy coffee maker, beat up furniture, disgusting windows and screens – the list goes on. Housekeeping was a disorganized disaster and they just couldn’t get it together – or figure out how to wear masks – while we were there and the local mask mandate was in place. We serviced our own room. Although they did barge in unannounced once which did not go over well. Wi-fi kept dropping and was lousy speed-wise. Some of the regular staff at the front desk were super awesome, not only in terms of doing at least what they could to make our stay more pleasant and personable, but also just as great humans. Unsurprising, some were leaving for new jobs. (good for them!) This place needs a major deep cleaning and overhaul. The management here needs to get it together - and quite frankly be replaced - at this non-smoking hotel and handle that hot mess they have going on. Seriously, if you like being smoked out on the regular, hours on end, every single day, and having a dirty worn and crazy overpriced room and a management team that is intrusive and rude and blames you for it – this is your place. Otherwise, I’m skeptical of the good reviews, many of which are one-time reviews (and older) I’ve since noticed after previously having mistakenly relied upon them. Even though I spoke with and emailed with them, there was nothing done to compensate us for the nightmare. Nothing. Once we checked out they went MIA. Typical. My guess is they are not corporate owned, but not sure. Pass. Truly the worst Marriot property we have ever stayed at.
