Reviewed By Maintenon28Good hotel to spend 1 night when on the road back from vacations . Very good in terms of price vs quality . I used to stop there at leat once a year and last time the cigarette smell was detestable in the corridors !!!

Welcome to Bel Air guest house in Les Landes We welcome you to our nineteenth century family home, nestled in the heart of Castets. Between Bordeaux and Spain, our village is only 20 minutes from the ocean. Bel Air is a mansion, recently renovated, with 5 bedrooms and a swimming pool. Our rooms are spacious and comfortable with private bathroom, TV and Wifi. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the terrace, a stone's throw from the swimming pool. On arrival day, rooms are available as of 5pm and until 8pm. On day of departure, your room must be vacated by 11am. Free parking on site.

The hosts, Sylvie and Christophe could not have been more helpful, welcoming and attentive during our stay. The photographs do not do justice to this truly amazing house with its beautiful internal decor, cosy bedrooms with fresh linen bedding and modern bathrooms - all impeccably clean and airy. Sylvie’s catering could not be faulted with delightful breakfasts showcasing local fresh produce and pastries together with the copious cheese and charcuterie planchas which can be taken either in the salon or outside overlooking the pool and garden. If you are looking to explore this oft undiscovered corner of France - stay here and you will not be disappointed!

The most perfect retreat for 2!
Reviewed By AMY RMy partner and I discovered Palika Lodge in a tourist magazine in Les Landes region and decided to spend a couple of nights. As soon as we drove into the grounds, we were greeted with a sense of serenity and peace, the site of green breezy trees, flowing water and the scent of earth and evening dew. Patryk, our host was charming and amiable throughout our stay, tending to our needs and departing generosity and guidance about the area. the accommodation of the cabin by the lake was beautiful, and being the only visitors during this special time in early May, we made the most of walking the woods, paddling in the lake and taking it all in. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake, listened to the chorus of frogs competing with the chorus of birdsong, and followed the trail to find a baby deer disappearing into the woodland further away. The bathroom was gorgeous, with delicious Ayurvedic products to indulge in, and also some basic cooking facilities was just right for the rustic vibe we were enjoying in this stunning natural location. Patryk recommended a beautiful beach 10 minutes away, nearby where we spent one of the days, and couldn't tear ourselves away from the tranquility of the spot we were staying for another of the days so made the most of doing yoga on the terrace, reading, chatting, meditating and taking it all in. We dropped into the most relaxing rhythm and enjoyed some of the best days of our 2 week trip at palika. It was truly one of the most special places we've stayed and would recommend it to couples and individuals looking for some peace, nature and relaxation. I have not known another place quite like it, a very special spirit lives here! Go!! Thank you, we will be back! Amy & Robin.

Reviewed By corinnet759Un cadre reposant parmi les pins avec une jolie piscine. Tout est fait pour que l on se sente bien. Les chambres sont joliment décorées Sophie et Éric sont très sympathiques .nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Reviewed By ChriscdsA neglected small hotel in a quiet village. Tired furniture, run down exterior, unique plumbing, limited parking. Good restaurant food (although the moules that they are renowned for were off the menu), pleasant breakfast. At €35 per night, before breakfast, I guess you get what you pay for.
