A non-housekeeper, Chevi, was going to help the housekeeper finish our room when she saw us arrive early. (We were just getting the key and leaving again, we didn't need access to the room until late that evening.) Hard to beat that level of customer care.

The Inn on Bigfork Bay

The most relaxing vacation ever!

Reviewed By mmb5714

Six of us were going to visit Glacier National Park. There are closer accommodations to GNP, of course, but a cousin of ours who lives in Billings, MT told us about Bigfork, Montana. We are so delighted he did! Bigfork is a small but delightful town and when we found The Inn on Bigfork Bay, we knew this was the place for us. But little did we know how perfect it was!! It is located on the Bigfork Bay. The home is absolutely gorgeous! It is beautifully decorated with antiques and lovely furniture. The bedrooms and bathrooms are wonderful, spacious with comfortable beds and bedding! The outdoor space: the decks, dock, hot tub, are such wonderful amenities. (You can walk to all the shops, restaurants and the theater in town.) Kelly has the most beautiful flowers everywhere. The breakfasts were excellent and we could have cooked dinner there but we chose not to. There is a grill on the deck. Kelly, Monte and Marc are such nice and accommodating hosts. From them we received suggestions on restaurants and other natural attractions in the area. Everyone in our party said it was the most relaxing vacation ever. It was so nice for all of us to be together--especially after the dratted pandemic lockdown era--to just chill, visit and enjoy each other's company, and of course visit the spectacular GNP! We liked The Inn on Bigfork Bay so much in celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary next year, we are going to go back to The Inn on Bigfork Bay with our entire immediate family. We left feeling like good friends with Kelly, Monte and Marc. My husband and I cannot recommend this property highly enough. If beautiful accommodations, gorgeous views, comfort and relaxation are what you are looking for, then The Inn on Bigfork Bay should be a place you should consider when staying in northwest Montana.

Too Many Issues

Reviewed By H8102RAlauram

I've been coming here almost 20 years so I don't easily type this review. Used to be essentially perfect. We had issue after issue and were treated in the end with an attitude of indifference vs. concern about the impacts which causes me to take the time to write this. When checking in, one of the rooms I specifically requested and was assured of when reserved had been given to someone else. The TV wasn't set correctly so didn't work. Then the fireplace didn't work in one of the rooms. It was great that those two items were handled quickly but the issues just continued. The fireplace that was now able to be turned on, would not turn off. Finally had to just remove the batteries to stop it. In the second room the bedroom TV didn't work and the fireplace continually went out. Both rooms were extremely hot from all the other room thermostats that would not turn off requiring opening the door to tolerate how hot it was. Of course that is then a safety issue but impossible to sleep in the heat. Of the five times calling the front desk the phone was answered only once. After then walking to the front desk to report, the room key stopped working so back again. Door latches to enter are so sticky it takes a number of times and angle for them to open. The maintenance issues I'm describing were non-existent under prior ownership. Ultimately I requested compensation for all this and was advised it wasn't possible to reach the owners as they were running errands. I asked for a callback which never happened. Even if the maintenance issues get the attention they need, the disregard for the customer will keep me from going back. Particularly this customer that has been there many times and recommended it to so many.

Wonderful time at Flathead Resort

Reviewed By Styln85

We went to Bigfork this last weekend for the Spartan Race. I booked my room first then encouraged my friends also running in the race to book at this resort also. We initially chose it for the proximity to the Race. Our room was quite adorable and incredibly clean. And that is the response everyone gave me when I asked them how thier accommodations were. I have already booked another stay with them next month for a girls weekend. I hope the weather will be a bit better to spend time om the private beach as it was a bit cold for us down there this trip. But up at the resort the wind was almost nothing and we were able to enjoy a campfire with all the smores fixings. Great time!! Thank you Josh and Brittian!
