We have been huge fans of Rudy’s for many years. We make it a point to visit every time we are in Texas. Unfortunately this location always serves us cold food. The flavor of the BBQ meat is still good here but we want our food at least warm!! The cole slaw we received today wasn’t worth eating. We won’t visit this location again! I have to say that the older gentleman in the store part was very pleasant though.Hi Sherri, we are very sorry to hear about your recent experience and would like to reach out to you directly. Do you mind emailing us at [email protected]?

This place started off as a butcher shop and opened the restaurant recently. We started with the Pickles and the Pig, as well as the smoked onion dip. Both were good, with the sausages (the Pig) being the highlight. I ordered the 6oz Wagyu sirloin and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while. The chicken fried steak and burger were also very good. The only misstep was the side of green beans. They were too sweet, and the sweet overpowered the bacon that was clearly in them. Stick with other sides and you will definitely enjoy your meal.

We met a friend at Hutchin’s BBQ on Sunday after Clemson’s Cotton Bowl WIN. The brisket and sides were delicious. We were comparing to Black’s, which we had in September 2018 when in the New Braumfels area for the CLEMSON vs T A&M game. Blacks was awesome, but Hutchin’s was equallly enjoyable.
