L'Olleta Chiringuito

We were here 2 years ago and we enjoyed it so much that this year we arrived to Altea specially for this restaurant. We were SO disappointed!!! We ordered 2 kinds of octopus and it was almost raw.I think they made it in 1 minute because all slices were just thrown on the plate , the same goest for potatoes. Soup was okay, but we ordered 2 fishes and we couldn't even separate fish from bones(taste was fine, though )

Ca Jaune is a quintessential Spanish restaurant/bar. We were attracted to this as it was one of the busiest restaurants on Altea front what's more the clientele were predominately Spanish.. always a good sign in our book. The menu is simple and full of classics. Albonigas (meatballs), croquettas, pescadito frito (fried fish) to pick a few.We ordered tapas to share the croquettes de bacalao (cod) were to die for.We had several rounds of tapas, desserts, gin and tonics, wine and coffee and after 4 hours the bill was a satisfying 100euro between 4. This was great value and the food was delicious.I would highly recommend this establishment.

The setting is lovely and the staff were attentive. We opted for the fish of the day which was cooked well and tasted great. The portion size of the fish was small and did not justify the 25 euros charged. What accompanied the main meal (pallid looking fries and vegetables) were okay but nothing more. The desserts were nice. Overall, we thought that the venue did not offer value for money, hence the average score.

Great location facing the ocean on the Altea promenade. With good weather the outside sitting is very pleasant. They have a very reasonably priced set menu,And a good choice a la carte for appetizers, main courses and rice dishes. Attentive service and over all good experience.Good product but the cooking level could benefit of a higher effort.Average check with wine about €50.00 per person.

Discovered "Enjoy" on the last day of our month's stay in Altea, what a pity, we'd have been regular customers. We had the 12:90euro menu of the day and all three courses were excellent both in presentation and quality. The service was friendly and the whole experience was topped off by our Vla-Flip, a traditional Dutch desert recommend by our server, delicious!!!
