Reviews on Pizza food in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Since the redevelopment of the Inner Harbor in the late 1970s, Baltimore has set the standard for urban renewal. While a good part of the city's action centers around the fun and festive Harbor area, where street entertainers, open-air concerts, fireworks and parades abound, the surrounding neighborhoods offer all sorts of interesting landmarks, unique shops and delicious restaurants. Wander around Fells Point, the oldest section of Baltimore, reminiscent of an old English village, complete with pubs and cobblestone streets. Take the kids to the aquarium and check out the imaginative creations at the American Visionary Art Museum. Or stop by the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum for an in-depth look at the Great Bambino's life. Baltimore is also renowned for its African-American heritage sites, plus festivals and cultural events that take place throughout the year. From historic places and harbor cruises to family friendly attractions and fabulous neighborhoods, Charm City is one of the top tourist destinations in the United States.

This spot is surprisingly excellent. In the middle of the North Avenue Arts district, the food and service exceeded expectations. The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. The potato skins with crispy, real bacon and the squares of fried mozzarella were excellent. We split two pizzas, Coalhouse and chees, both light and flavorful on a thin, crispy crust. After dinner treat yourself to a show or a drink at the Motor House right across the street, a film at The Parkway Theater, something fun at the Windup Space, Improv at the B.I.G. (free admission til the end of 2018), just to name a few options. Great location.

This was my first time to the Little Italy pizzeria. The place is very small and worn, with a small counter and tight seating for 8 people. I found it disappointing that you could not see their brick oven which supposed to be the star. They could have at least posted a picture of it on the wall.My order was a side of meatballs ($6.25/three), a cold Italian sub ($12) and a plain cheese 14” pizza ($14). The three meatballs were small and a bit rubbery which means filler centric rather than meat. The Italian sub roll was not very good, and the sandwich did not have a lot of product for the price. To make matters worse they toasted the roll and it got a tad singed and gave off a bad taste. Not sure why it had glossy finish. As for the pizza, I was not impressed and expected better. There were sections of burnt outer crust, too much cheese and the dough very chewy. I will not be back.

It seems as though we cannot be anywhere near Baltimore without making a pilgrimage to this place for some of the best Italian food around. Everything is homemade with love – from their gigantic subs and sandwiches to the best eggplant lasagna ever tasted! You can tell it’s a fabulous find since there’s always a policeman and/or firefighter in the throng of people placing orders to eat in their dining area or simply to take out. And then, there are the cheeses, salamis, and every other specialty cold cut you could desire. We always load up on these delicacies and bring them back to Northern Virginia with us! Give it a try – you’ll be very pleased – ciao!
