Tonight 5 of us had the most amazing meal in West Roxbury. From the second we walked into Fairouz we were made to feel like family. The appetizers, especially the cauliflower dish, were exceptional. We had meat pies, lamp kabobs, garlic shrimp and more. Each dish was exceptional! This is a real find!!!

The inside is like a cozy grotto.Outside an awning covers tables on Roslindale Center’s hidden plaza, enclosed by neighboring restaurants and stores. A quiet niche in a congested part of residential BostonOur wonderful waitress Debbie seemed enthusiastic about the entire menu and we allowed her to steer us to one of her favorites, a superb paella. Others had a stuffed ravioli with a delicious light cream sauce. An artichoke heart, fried and wrapped in prosciutto was unusual in presentation and fabulous.Prices were reasonable.Just a great meal and so much more to try next time!

We met friends here for dinner on a Friday. A small family run place where the owner will probably also be your server. The interior is very plain, tables and chairs suitable for a lunch place. The menu was quite large. We had the Mediterranean bruschetta and the Moroccan zaalouk for appetizers. The bruschetta was quite large and had tons of flavor. It was easily large enough for four people. The zaalouk was smaller and very good but not as flavorful as the bruschetta. There were so many tempting choices for entrees that we had trouble deciding. We decided on the walnut & date chicken tangine and the zitoune chicken tagine. Both tangine arrived with the traditional tangine top over the plate. The walnut and date tangine was served over couscous and was sweet, crunchy and just plain yummy. The zitoune chicken was in more of a broth surrounded with small potatoes and served with bread. The chicken was very delicious and we soaked up the broth with the bread. For dessert, we had the red velvet cake (only made once a year) and the almond cake. Both were absolutely amazing- full of flavor but not too heavy. The perfect ending to a scrumptious meal.

We didn’t have a reservation but wanted to stop somewhere for dinner and the reviews looked pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed. So much that we are going back tomorrow. Our server was outstanding. She recommended a sampler plate for an appetizer and the two specials: an eggplant and meat dish and salmon with a lobster sauce. A generous and delicious salad was also included so by the time we got to the main course, we were pretty full. We took home left overs and enjoyed lunch the next day. Dining room was nice. Not too crowded and quiet. I had a comfortable seat with pillows. Fun to try Lebonese food. The wine was good too. Prices were reaonsable and everything seemed fresh and homemade. We will be regulars.

Oh this place is great! The portions are huge and always delicious. If you love Lebanese food, you will love Byblos. It has been in business a long time and the owner is the most pleasant man. Some of the staff have worked there a long time so it must be a good place to work. They do a great business. The menu has the usual offerings but they also have specials which are great.

this is a solid winner for a "hole in a wall" type of restaurant. small, friendly staff. you have a simple arrangement of tables, order at the counter. not fancy. could be a problem for large parties, as it is arranged mainly in twos and two fours. we had lamb kebobs and a gyro, all created smiles. generous portions. there were no leftovers from this meal. there are limits to the menu, such as no coffee, but we came away with a nice experience. will go back
