We were met by a friendly waitress who could speak English, and it was the only restaurant we could find that served lunch between 14 and 18. Perfect! The smoked salmon was beautiful, but a little expensive. Still happy we went. We booked a table here for my birthday whilst staying in Montreux on the strength of the TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Every course was delicious as well as the wine and cocktails. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we were just sorry we didnât discover it earlier in our trip so we could go again! Switzerland is not a cheap place to eat out but we found the food to be excellent value for the quality and service received. As it was a Tuesday night it was quite quiet when we arrived but several tables filled up during the evening creating a lovely atmosphere. Be sure to book as it is not a large restaurant. If staying in Montreux it is easy to get to by train or bus with a short walk from the nearest stop.

The restaurant faces the street and is off to one side of the main lobby registration desk. The restaurant is decorated in jazz decor. The menu has a nice variety of local cuisine including fish, meat, and even a burger. Dishes are well prepared and delicious. Expect small surprises. Staff is very attentive. Unfortunately full menu not available that day as chef was sick. But the owner and apparently family welcomed us and treated us nicely. We had two choices beef steak or horse steak. Pasta for kids. Food quality was good and cooked to perfection. I really liked the attention and family atmosphere. A quiet secluded location in the forest near the river.
