Nice homestay in Xinshe
Reviewed By ogenkidesuOur first impression of the place, is that it is a home-stay with pottery and rabbit attraction, and offers rooms as well. Room-wise, we stayed at 2nd floor of the room block, and it was comfortable with heating. Parking was also ample. The room was designed with clean lines and wood/clay artifacts in mind. The doors had city gates-like locks which was interesting, and you will notice some of the decos were made with clay/ceramics by the minshu themselves. The owner was quite a nice guy, he may be likely an introvert, so that may explain why it is not so natural for him to start and continue a conversation easily. He took us to feed the rabbits, see the newborn rabbits, and chatted up with us over breakfast. Breakfast was decent with bread, coffee, eggs, a few pieces of mushroom and fruits. A few points of improvements: 1) Curtains: The translucent day curtains should preferably be the closest to the window, followed by the opaque night curtain. 2) Would appreciate a small table/desktop near the electrical power points, to provide a surface for notebook PC/charging cameras. 3) The pond outside the breakfast area was basically dead, with brown plants that was not tidied up over the days when we were there. May be a good idea to housekeep to keep in consistency with the clean feel. Overall, still a nice experience for us.

All these efforts are aimed at combining Shinshe’s agriculture, resources and tourism into one package. Today, Shinshe has accomplished a sound reputation and numerous achievements. This plain little town has a brand new appearance and life; it is now described as The Purplish Hometown and The Happiness Town. Shinshe is definitely worth visiting if you want to enjoy purple lavenders and soak in all happiness around you.

Reviewed By chang77777房間一堆蟲、螞蟻、蟑螂、蜘蛛，霉味又很重，服務態度又很差；說話不老實，店家內部作業疏失，算在客人頭上；訂購烤肉食材與菜單內容不符(草蝦變白蝦)，也未事先告知；游泳池感覺像沒有清洗，整體就是一個差字形容還不夠。

A great getaway with incredibly friendly and experienced staffs

We arrived late at night, and the butler, 秀秀 (Xiu Xiu) was very kind and helped us to navigate and check in our luggage. In the morning, picnic sets are prepared with top notch fresh ingredients coupled with fresh herbs and vegetables. The staffs are also very knowledgeable about the place from the souvenirs, food to the general estate. Tell them what you'd like and they will give you information about things that might interest you. We had a great time here and would definitely return again.

Reviewed By JanemojiThis is not the first time I visited Taiwan, so I really just want a relaxing holiday without traveling too much, in fact I just 7 days in Taichung itself. I stayed 3 nights here and it did not disappoint! Bear in mind this is not a budget bnb. I chose it beacuse I like the loft unit which cater to my family. My 2 teenagers have the loft unit at the attic with 2 double beds for them. Ourselves at the first level with spacious room and a balcony, nice touches like bidet toilet with warm seats. They can be reached by messenger via facebook. The owner will serve you beautifully presented breakfast and will provide their best help possible. We arrived late on first day and they prepared a hot pot meal for us (at a below market price). Then on the last day, they bought us out for a local meals. Basically, you can depend on them for advise and have your own way as they will not impose anything on you. The owners' son also offered a free keychain making activity using recycled wood FOC and my two kids love it!
