Dirty and dated

Reviewed By PeterO975

Tired and dirty I was booked for 2 nights but stayed only one . I slept in my clothes for fear of touching the sheets. Broken light switches, filthy bathroom, used shower cap on the window sill in the bathroom, dirty bathroom sink, full cigarette sand container outside the door. Broken and crooked lamps, dirty carpet, a friendly cockroach, the list goes on. See the photos.

Simple, older-style motel that was perfect for us

Reviewed By pippagirl

We were looking for a quick overnight stay in the area, and the Mornington Motel was perfect. Quick check-in, parking right outside the room, spotless room and enough room for our family of four, with our two kids sharing the sofa bed. Fridge, microwave, good shower, effective heating. Would definitely stay again.

Do not book this!

Reviewed By SalLen66

We had the misfortune of being booked into this hotel on an organised tour. The rooms are large but that is maybe the only positive. Some did have large baths but not mine. The view from my window was of the Toyota dealership next door. Breakfast was Special K and 2 slices of white bread to toast. No Wi-Fi. No available reception apart from check in. We were told if we had any problems “gaming is open until 1am”!! It is basically upstairs of the local club on the highway in the industrial area. Then to top it off “room 10” across the hall was actually a large function space pumping out loud music and partying on the Saturday night. Truly an awful place to stay. Spend your money elsewhere.

Just spent the most wonderful 3 nights at this lovely bed and breakfast in mornington. Our delightful host Denise couldn't do enough to help. She goes above and beyond baking cakes for afternoon tea and special muffins for breakfast which is fresh and plentiful. Lodgings are clean and well presented. Well done Denise. We will be pleased to recommend you to others. Somewhere we would definately be happy to stay again. Well Done!

Basic food at a premium price

Reviewed By rnrphantom

Had lunch here with a large group. Staff were friendly and the service was good. Unfortunately the food was very basic. My Chicken Schnitzel looked and tasted as though it came from the deli at Woolworths, the salad comprised of a range of lettuce leaves wth a couple of very thin slices of cucumber and a tiny bit of grated carrot. On a positive, the chips were very nice. My wife had a Parma that she enjoyed.

A very enjoyable stay

Reviewed By tina p

Katrina greeted us on arrival and guided us to the unit located on the upper floor. A self contained apartment with a tiny kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom and balcony. Once you enter the house from the side entrance, there is a short flight of stairs that takes you up to the unit. The living cum dining and kitchenette has a gas fire and there is an aircon/heater wall mounted unit as well. Glass doors open to the balcony overlooking the garden, roof tops of the nearby homes and you can glimpse the sea. The sunset views are spectacular from up here and we loved it. Sliding doors separate the bedroom which has closet space, a tv, and entertainment equipment plus reading material. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom and has a shower cubicle and a Jacuzzi tub. The tiny kitchenette was equipped with a toaster, microwave, electric kettle jug and a refrigerator. There is a portable stove if you wish to cook a light meal. As for breakfast you are supplied with cereal boxes, coffee, tea, sugar sachets, milk, juice and bread, and the tiny butter packets. This means that you prepare your own continental breakfast...and this suited us quite well. There is no washing machine but an iron and ironing board is available. Car park - we were told that curb side parking in front of the property is not a problem. WIFI is complimentary. We stayed 4 nights and felt very comfortable. Located in a residential area it is quiet and peaceful and we loved it. This was our base to explore the Peninsula and its location close to the beach and town center was a boon. The only worry for us after dark, was that only part of the footpath to the side entrance is lit and the rest is in darkness as the street light is not bright enough. There is a step which you cant see in the dark and we did trip many times. I hope Katrina will fix this. We would definitely stay here again.
