Stylish hotel, cramped room.

We stayed for a week in September in one of the terrace rooms. I forget the number but it was the very end one. Whilst I loved the decor and style of the hotel it was a shame that back in Sept it wasn’t fully finished. The bar area had very little furniture in it, the gym had very little equipment. Maybe in 2022 it will be better in this respect. The staff were nice and helpful themselves but occasionally there were strange policies. On one day there was a sign up saying no food in the hotel that evening. Also the lunch menu was a little limited and quite expensive for just sharing plates. Our biggest disappointment however was the room, it was tiny, so small in fact that you had to move the bed to open the door to the terrace, and having done that you then couldn’t get out of the room into the corridor without moving the bed back again. The wardrobe area was tiny and there really was nowhere to put things down - two tiny bedside tables and a shelf under the TV. We only had hand luggage and still struggled to unpack. We then had to put our cases on the luggage rack in the bathroom because there was nowhere else for them. The bathroom situation wasn’t much better, here there was a lot more space but still nowhere to put anything. A couple of hooks to hang towels and wash bags would have been great.

Fabulous as always

Third visit in four weeks. Friends took us here in our first week. Very welcoming - Covid regulations adhered to. Excellent menu del dia but incredible choice on the main menu. I could eat my way through most of it. Coming from France duck is something I tend not to order on holiday as we are from the "duck" area however the dick in orange sauce is really delicious and today the crispy duck with pancakes was out of this world. There was so much I didn't mind sharing. The staff are attentive, pleasant and polite. It's a real pleasure to go with friends or just us. Well be back several times more and can recommend a super meal at a very competitive price for the quality and service provided. Excellent

Camping Moraira

Great campsite in pretty town

Reviewed By Nancy N

Camping Moraira is situated up a hill but the gravel terraces are all flat. There is plenty of shade so great for the hot, sunny climate. There is a swimming pool, which was still open in October, and a restaurant/bar, which we didn't use. The toilet block is indeed quirky but there are hot showers, toilet seats and loo roll so it's all good from our point of view. Some of the shower cubicles have bidets too. It is mainly a site for tourers and not a weekend retreat for families. It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of the town (and a 20 minute walk back!) but there are shops, restaurants and a beach at the bottom of the hill, only a few minutes walk. There is also a wee train that goes to the town twice a day. The pitches are on the side of the tracks on the site and the vans are parked alongside each other so there is no privacy, if that's what you are looking for. This is the only reason I gave four stars instead of five. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to Camping Moraira again.
