Spring weekend stay

Reviewed By Luci S

The first night we found that neither the sink drain or the toilet were working These were fixed on day 2 but we didn’t get housekeeping at all even though I was specifically asked if I wanted it (and said yes). I had to empty the trash and get fresh towels myself. The rooms were noisy and sounds from the room above and hallway were very loud. Overall a mediocre stay given the price.

Super friendly staff

Reviewed By cotravelguru

This hotel is clean and comfortable and has a friendly staff. I mostly dealt with Christine and Joanne and they were super helpful whenever I needed anything. They have limited staff post covid, but you wouldn't know it from the cleanliness of the hotel. My room was on the top floor and it was very quiet.

Decent Place For The Money

Reviewed By David H

I just stayed here twice in a week and am overall pleased with this hotel. Bear in mind that this IS a Budget hotel so ones expectations have to be a bit tempered. To only pay 90 dollars (Including Tax) to rest your head on a comfortable bed in a clean room is a good deal. The location is also a plus as you are right next to a variety of shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is extremely limited but you can always treat yourself to the "The Stable" across the street with the money that you save here!

not bad

Reviewed By plewicke

I have no complaints about the HJ. The room was adequate, and except for the door lock not being completely cooperative, it was just fine. The bad wasn't too soft, but neither was it hard. They put a cabinet around the refrigerator, and I fail to see any reason for that cabinet existing.

4 days of kindness and comfort

Reviewed By fireUrchin-b

I stayed here under unusual circumstances. I live locally in an apartment building for seniors that got flooded from a pipe bursting. Everyone was evacuated to local hotels - paid for by the building owner who will put in for insurance reimbursement. The first 4 days [of 3 weeks+] I was able to stay here, and it was a lovely place I'd recommend to anyone coming to town, including my own family. The bed was great, the room well decorated and amenities included a coffee pot with quality cup insert coffees and teas. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I needed a shower seat and they found one for my use. The Comfort Inn staff also came when called to vacuum up a small spill, to plug in the fridge when the cord was found out behind a big piece of furniture - at 1 am. All with smiles and friendly conversation. This may also interest anyone with accessibility concerns. I use a walker and they kindly moved me to a room near the pool, hot tub and fitness room, which was really helpful for my physical therapy the hot tub was delightful and the pool clean and shaped well for me. They have a seat for wheelchair users. I didn't need it, because I am able to use the stairs with a railing. But a pool with only a ladder will not work for me. The layout of the pool to hot tub made it also a shorter walk to go from one to the other, and to the bathroom/change room which is right within the pool area. I liked not having to go out into the hall to change, though the shower in there was not hot, it still allowed me to get dry before showering in my room. Mind you, some neighbors were placed at The Marriott for the entirety, which is a very upgrade place. I visited a friend there. The Comfort Inn is not as fancy but the pool at the Marriott was not placed as well, the hot tub was not working, and the bathroom nearby is in the hall. The staff is super friendly and helpful in both places. The breakfast area at the Comfort Inn looks basic, but the free food offerings were better according to everyone I spoke to and my own experience. The fitness room had top grade equipment, a water cooler to fill your bottle, and sprays and towels to clean the equipment after use, and hand cleaner. So it may benefit to know what matters to you the most in deciding your stay. Also - Our rooms had been renovated, but the reason we could not stay longer is that The Comfort Inn had scheduled renovation for other rooms, and the rooms we were using were booked already. So they are improving - or by now may have completed renovating the place. During my stays locally, I discovered all three of these hotels in Hadley are owned by Wyndham : Marriott, Comfort Inn and Howard Johnson.... I was moved to The HOJO after this - and am writing a scathingly bad review, so believe me it's not because someone else paid for this. I was so grateful for the way we were received under a stressful situation - at 3 am! I do know they are supposedly renovating, but... I'll save all my negative comments for their page. {note I marked solo because I was in a room alone]
