I had a mixed kebab: Chicken, Donner and Shish Kebab. I did not enjoy it one bit. That should have been the ultimate on their menu â but it was poor. So from that experience â I just drive past it and go to another chippy. Inconsistent.

Worse fish and chips I've ever had. Reheated up and utterly tasteless. The fish was dry as was the batter. I even tried soaking the meal in vinegar but it could not penetrate the dried out texture of the food. Won't be going back.

Have had many excellent takeaways from here but last nights meal was below standard. Three very small garlic prawns as a starter, over cooked and chewy. The balti sauce was delicious but the lamb was over cooked and very tough. Chicken shaslick was delicious but had half the chicken usually served in the portion, it was mainly onions and peppers. Different staff behind the counter, different chef perhaps? Come on Haveli, I know you can do so much better!

we have had from brendas before and the food was always cooked fresh and the portions generous.the chips cooked the way i like and the batter light and crispy then we sort of forgot about thhe shop until the other night whilst i was waiting to go to work my husband and i remembered and went for our teas .we are glad we did as it was exactly the same as i remembered.my husband had burger in a bun and chips and i had the homemade cheese savoury(cheese,onion and potatoe in batter). with chips.i made the mistake of ordering 2 they were huge and full of cheese,onionand potatoe and i could only eat one.their cornedbeef savouries and fish cakes are homemade as well.they do a good varied menu with homemade pizzas and burgers as well and deliver.

Whenever I'm home me and my parents get a takeaway from here and it's always perfect. The madras and bhuna curries are both lovely, and the naan wraps are really good! A few days ago we decided to try a 12" Munchie Box between us and it didn't disappoint at all! The spicy chips were really tasty and the variety in the box was great, plenty food for 2 people and not a bad price of about £12.00. Staff here are always pleasant too. I was so looking forward to some fabulous fish and chips after being away in Spain and being served processed frozen fish.I was definitely not disappointed here.Fish is amazing,so fresh and tasty.Everything was cooked to perfection and the oils used were obviously just right . 100% recommend.The owners should be proud.
