Fantastic day out for all the family and all ages, see how the north of England use to be from a ride on the tram , to a life on the farm to a bun from the bakery, so much history to absorb, the staff are all very knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you might have , there is a lovely tea room but the chippy is well worth a try !

Lovely views and scenery with a short Woodlands walk to the Arch. Alongside Tanfield Railway (the world's oldest railway) longer walks through the woods after the Arch and a must for people interested in photography

I have walked the Waskerley Way and various other parts of the Way a few times now. The views have always been stunning. Great soft play area, large, clean and uses up lots of energy! Good safe areas for under 3’s and under 5’s. Big enclosed netted area for kicking or throwing footballs. We had lunch- baked potatoes with tuna and side salad and one of the grandchildren had chicken nuggets, and chips and the other had pizza, never finished it but got the remaining pieces wrapped up to take away. Staff friendly. Would recommend this place and would return again when visiting the grandchildren.
