We eat at Deaons often and does is always good. We recently started going for a Tuesday/ Wednesday steak night. The steaks are always perfectly cooked and seasoned. Add a mound of chips, more like wedges they are so chunky and tasty trimmings for a fabulous meal. We add a sauce for about £2 enough for two of us. Sound good? Well add a bottle of wine to that lot for about £15 a head. Can't beat it. Staff are really friendly as well!!

Having not visited this restaurant in many years we decided to pop in and give it another try. It was a relatively quiet Tuesday night so we had no problem being seated quickly and efficiently by the friendly waitress. It's a fairly small place and has a good atmosphere, the menu was very extensive and we both chose different meals. The food was very good, tasty and well presented. Whenever I'm home me and my parents get a takeaway from here and it's always perfect. The madras and bhuna curries are both lovely, and the naan wraps are really good! A few days ago we decided to try a 12" Munchie Box between us and it didn't disappoint at all! The spicy chips were really tasty and the variety in the box was great, plenty food for 2 people and not a bad price of about £12.00. Staff here are always pleasant too. As a local chippy we didn't go very often, but went two weeks ago as our grandkids were raving about the chips. They were absolutely right, best chips from any of the local chippies, we will be going more often.

We have eaten at this restaurant on two occasions recently, and on both occasions the food has been excellent. Each time we have arrived about 5.30pm and although not particularly busy when we arrived, the restaurant soon filed up. On our second visit we decided that the earlybird meal was inviting, so my wife went for pate' as a starter and I chose potato skins. My wife then chose stroganoff and I went for the sirloin steak with a peppercorn sauce. We both agreed that both courses were delicious, and with 2 glasses of Rose' the bill came to £41.80.which we thought was very good value. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and ambience, particularly when busy, and the staff are both jovial, and efficient. We will definately eat at The Board Inn again.

Cheap and cheerful earlybird tea on a Saturday, great value meal and friendly, efficient service.Wife and I had potato skins to start, pizza/pasta main, and daughter had the kids meal of half a pizza, chips and then ice cream to follow. With drinks, total bill was £21. Can't complain, and the waitress was great with our little one. Defo come back.

We were passing through Chester le Street and saw this modest looking Italian restaurant handily situated opposite a car park so we thought we'd give it a go.We received a friendly welcome and were surprised to see so many dining as this was a Monday evening, not the most popular night for eating out.The next surprise was finding that, on weekdays, most of the pizzas and pasta dishes are half price. I ordered spaghetti Bolognese and my wife cannelloni. Both were excellent, the Bolognese especially good with a lovely rich sauce.We both followed with tiramisu which seemed to us to be home made, anyway it was delicious.Finally the coffee was a proper strong Italian brew, which was a relief after we'd had several disappointing coffees during our trip to the North East.In summary then, the food was excellent and the price unbelievably low. Made our second visit to Ravello, based on the food and service, both of which were excellent first time around.Ravello didn't disappoint !Starters and main courses were superb, a very pleasant bottle of Prosecco and my wife loved her dessert ( I settled for an espresso ).Ravello is very good value and the whole ambiance etc makes it a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal in nice surroundings.Definitely our favourite Italian restaurant!
