Arakataka

Informal gourmet restaurant with creative dishes made with Norwegian ingredients. Every day the chef composes a three-course and a five-course dinner.

While the main Arakataka restaurant gets great reviews, we tried the less formal section on the right as you enter. 23 year old chef Eline Bordvik offers innovative small dishes. Drawing on Nordic seasonal ingredients, Eline displayed a confidence in following her own instincts and tastes that made the meal the most creative and best we had in Norway.

We booked online a few months ago. Flawless with confirmationmail and a reminder the day before.Location is good for us food- and drinkgeeks; Walkingdistance to Mathallen, Vulkan. Nothing better than starting the night at Champagneria. At the restaurant, we were met at the door, jackets were stored and we were followed to our table for the night. The restaurant was not full. Maybe two of three tables were occupied. As I like it. More room and less noise. But off course, less income for the restaurant. Anyway; Good atnosphere!Service was faboulos during the hole meal, and the dishes made us talk food and flavors, rather then football, cars or ... yeah ...you know :DWe encountered the large menue and added to it the matching winepackage. Can recomend the combination. This time of year, the dishes cried for white wines, and that was what we got. Grapes and districts I have never heard of. Oh joy!My favorites were the first cheesesnack, the duckliverpate and the beef. But by all means; What a meal :)Thank you guys!

Welcome to our nordic food bar. We wish your experience to be extraordinary. We serve exciting food and drinks, where we focus on ecology and quality.

Eating at bokbacka is an experience and the food is presented in exciting ways. The price is also not bad for the experience you get. However the gastronomic experience is lacking, the foods was generally blend. The beef tartar would not even reach my top 10 beef tartars this year, since a lot of ingredients was added that did not complement the meal. The ice cream dessert was so salty I could not even finish it.The coffee lounge where you can sit and talk after your meal was a great touch.Dear Marius,Thank you so much for taking the time to write us this review. We hope you will visit our restaurant again soon to give us the opportunity to increase your impression of the experience of Bokbacka.Sincerly,Team Bokbacka

I went for the non-alchol option, the juice pairing was mindblowing. All set in contemporary and beautiful surroundings. With a cozy athmosphere. The staff were all friendly and very knowleadgable. Eik annen etage exceeded our expectations in a big way. Will definetly be back.

We celebrated our company´s 5th anniversary at Campo di Fiore yesterday 17.09.19. Not to diss Norway in any way, shape or form because I love living here, but the service was excellent and ´UnNorwegian´. The owner Fabio served us himself and he served with such Italian flair! It was fun to hear him singing, see him dancing as he served us and others. My colleagues all commented on how UnNorwegian the service and ambience was. We were all impressed with the service, the FOOD and the wine! Several of my colleagues mentioned their desire to take other friends/family there just to experience the restaurant! A massive thank you to Fabio and his team for helping to make our celebration a fun one!Grazieeee!!!!’ What a unNorwegian review...loved to have you at Campo and loved to see you enjoyed the food and atmosphere...we will definitely see you again in the most Roman restaurant in Scandinavia ❤️

Statholdergaarden

One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993

The Internationally renowned owner-chef works the floor, serves many courses, and shows genuine interest in his patrons’ response to his food. His Michelin Star is the product of such total focus on excellence. I was amazed at how welcoming everyone was, including the chef-owner. It would be easy for such a restaurant to become pretentious, which Statholdergaarden decidedly is not. There are three ways to order, à la carte, a menu of the day - 4-6 courses, and a tasting menu. We chose à la carte because we share all courses. The tasting menu would have been 12 courses each and the menu du jour would have totaled a minimum of eight. We ended up with two starters, two mains, and a cheese plate for dessert. In eating at Statholdergaarden, there are five amuses bouche - no kidding - spectacular dark sourdough bread and two phenomenal butters. Each dish is amazingly complex. For example the cheese plate featured three different Norwegian cheeses, a small loaf of the dark sourdough bread, and six different condiments. To be sure, expensive, but worth it.
