Awesome

Loved staying in this rustic cabin with the family, so much space to ran around, ample fire wood kindle left for us and all ready to light the fire, sadly the electric heater goes off every 20 mins so it gets super cold when the fire and heater goes off. The extra blankets were very needed, maybe take hot water bottles, and it would be awesome if they had heaters in the bathroom and bedrooms, as the bathroom heater did a little job. the place is clean, and its the closest accommodation to Selwyn Snow. I highly recommend this magical place, kangaroos, kookaburras and good old fresh country air. Heidi was a huge help on booking and answering all our queries.

Alpine Tourist Park

What a disgrace for such a cute town. You are letting the community down.

This place should not be allowed to trade. It is so filthy and disgusting that even the NSW Health Authority would find it challenging. Not only did we have the most creepy welcome, but we were watched when leaving too. The laundry smells so bad, and as it is so unkept it is had to find entry to the mens. The wall had a big slug on it and the spiders were crawling in the ladies toilets. I paid $40 a night and would not give this place $5 to stay again. Tidy up your park, cut the grass, unblock the sullege drains and you have had two years to rectify your mess. What a disgrace and an embarrassment to a great little town. If you can’t maintain it, move on.

Anglers Reach Caravan Park

A magical place

Reviewed By SouthernWattle

What an incredible spot! I was a bit worried because of some of the reviews, but it was nothing like that. The place has big, beautiful grassy sites, surrounded by tall alpine trees. The facilities were clean and pleasant to use. The owner was lovely, hard working. If you want a fire try and snag a site with a firepit or bring an elevated fire pit so you don’t burn the grass. The unpowered sites are the most scenic, but the powered sites are still lovely! It was one of my favourite camps so far!

An excellent 3 night stay

Reviewed By emtnems

Stayed in cabin 4 for 3 nights a week out from Xmas. Watched some spectacular storms come over the lake one night. During our stay a lightning strike took out the power one morning in the middle of cooking breakfast. No problem, we moved the frying pan across to the conveniently located gas BBQ on the verandah and continued to cook. Anglers Reach is 45 mins drive from Cooma, so you are not just down the road from a supermarket. But it is quiet, peaceful and there is plenty of wildlife. The crimson rosellas come right up to your door looking for a feed, along with the cockatoos, magpies, and crows. Kangaroos and rabbits flood the lawns come dusk. The lake is currently around 46% full, so the water level is a 200 mtr walk. Not a problem. The room was clean and well presented.
