Gudauri (Georgian: გუდაური) is a ski resort located on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, along the Georgian Military Highway near the Cross Pass, at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft.) above sea level with skiable area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun. Gudauri lies 120 km (75 mi) to the north of the capital Tbilisi and two hours drive from the Tbilisi International Airport or even a short helicopter flight from the capital. The resort offers high quality skiing opportunities. The slopes of Gudauri are completely above the tree line and are best for free-riders and are generally considered to be avalanche-safe. The ski season lasts from December to April. Heliskiing is also available throughout the season.

Gudauri is a mountain that is covered with white snow during the winter months. There are many activities that you can do in Gudauri resort during the snow season, you can rent Ski gear, you can take Ski lessons, rent a Snowmobile, take the cable car to the top of the mountain and enjoy the mesmerizing view, or you can sit down and enjoy a meal and a drink. Gudauri is good to spend the day, but I am not sure it would be worth staying for multiple days unless you really like to wake up surrounded by the white cold snow and repeat the same activities.

We arrived to gudauti with a taxi and came past this lovely ski rental all the gentlmen in the store were so kind, helped us get the right equipment and showed us to the sky cable car, we came to the cable car and one of the ski legs fell of when we could not find it we came to the store and vasilis one of the store employees explained we had to pay and if they find they will transfer the money, he also helped us get a 8lari ticket all the way back to Tbilisi and when we saw we forgot the passport they turned back and we received the passport and all the money for the lost ski leg that they have found!!! Very nice experience from the store and great staff!!! Thanx for everything

Its miracle to see two colors river flowing together without mixing each other. Must visit place if you are planning to visit Georgia. Aragvi river there is rafting but during winter its too cold for this activity.

Amazing scenery with Caucasus mountains as the backdrop at every turn while traveling along the military highway. The friendship monument is also beautiful, proudly located along this highway. There were also many paragliding activities going on..what a lovely sight to behold..
