Amazing family meal. Steaks cooked to perfection accompanied with honey butter to coat the rolls in. Sides of salad were beautifully fresh, the coated mushrooms came in an enormous portion. Fries and sweet potato fries were exceptionally good also. Loved the way the raw steaks are available to view in a chiller cabinet on entry. Fantastic experience and we will be back.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at one of our favorite restaurants in Galveston. Located right on the marina, you can eat inside or outside. We chose inside, and the temperature is perfect. Not too hot or freezing cold. We had a dozen Premium Oysters, 6 from Katama Bay, Prince Edward Island, Eastern Canada and 6, Malpaque.,from Massachusetts. Delicious. The horseradish was fresh and spicy. The lunch menu offered a great selection of mixed drinks, and my husband chose a Texas Mule. The bar is fully stocked, and we both chose Filet Mignon steaks. My steak had a side of foie Gras, and both were cooked perfectly. Try the Potato & Onion Au Gratin and Brussel Sprouts with House Bacon & Golden Raisons served family style. Great place for couples, families and groups.

Dined recently with my daughter and young grandson. A restaurant that can please three generations is doing everything right. No surprise that the food and service are perfect as this restauranteur is hands on and has been in the business for years. Running two upscale restaurants across the street from each other cannot be easy but both restaurants run with precision!Make the fried asparagus with lump crab meat a shared appetizer — it is under sides.

We have been going to Sunday Brunch at The Galvez for the last 10 years and is by far one of the best Sunday Brunch we’ve ever experienced. The food is excellent, with wide variety to choose from. The seafood is wonderful, the desserts are fabulous and the champagne adds that extra happiness to brunch. Ask for a table on the veranda, it has a great view of the pool and the seawall.
