Golf course and many country club restaurants often struggle to serve even mediocre food. The Persimmon Grill at Lake Valley is an exception. Chef Paul takes great pride in serving flavorful, fresh food, whether it's the most basic pub fare or the fine dining entrees in the evening. We recently took a group of six out here to celebrate a ninetieth birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and we had some rather picky diners. The grilled lamb chops served over risotto I had were excellent. All of this was at a very reasonable price, and the service was good.

I had a business dinner here and loved the local brews on tap and the food. I had the oysters, which were fantastic, and three street tacos that were locally-sourced, fresh, and tasty. I will definitely return!

I love how they've loaded all their GF items into a handy menu accessible from the table iPad-like device. Hostess and server very friendly and courteous.

Saw an advertisement in a local food flyer. The descriptions were interesting and we went to see what the food was like. We got to the restaurant shortly after 5 PM and the place was crowded. We only waited a short time to be seated. The ambience was certainly aimed at a young crowd even though there were some families it was so loud that you could not hear the person across the table or more importantly the waitress. Food was quirky and mostly good. The sweetness of the squashacado taco was not to our liking but that is a personal perception. I would consider going back for the food but I would only go if the place was quieter.

After driving by many times, we stopped for breakfast. The interior is charming and cozy with dark wood and western artwork everywhere. The breakfast was very good. The âscrambleâ was hot, tasty and large. Good pancakes too. Canât wait to try other dishes.
